The first Halo title released in 2001, spawning a beloved franchise of video games and inspiring countless gamers over the years. The Halo series has had its share of ups and downs like any series, but its strong community has stood the test of time and remains stalwart in its love of the sci-fi franchise.

The Halo series has helped define the shooter genre over the years and has built a dedicated community around its multiple games, movies, and books. The Halo community has done some incredible things, such as raising money for coronavirus relief towards the start of the pandemic, as well as making some truly incredible fan creations along the way.

One of the most recent pieces of Halo fan art was posted to the Halo subreddit by user DatShrimpGuy. The post does not have much to it yet, as it is a short video testing a bit of stop-motion animation using an Elite from the Halo line of Mega Construx toys that are similar to Legos. DatShrimpGuy is well known across a handful of subreddits for posting some really great animations including a pixel art animation for the anime Demon Slayer and a series of Star Wars stop-motion animations using just Lego sets. The post has caught the eye of the Halo community, with many commenters expressing excitement for the final video.

The Halo community also recently rallied around a hilarious meme format showcasing some crazy Halo plays while celebrating the incredible amount of time that Halo fans have poured into the series since its launch. Recent years have been a great time to be a Halo fan, with Halo: The Master Chief Collection steadily receiving updates for nearly every game in the series. Fans also have been looking forward to the upcoming Halo Infinite, as well as a television series produced by Steven Spielberg that is in production.

The posted test video, and likely the final video when it is finished, are great examples of the passion for Halo that the community has. With the series' upcoming additions, as well as the push for Halo's iconic Master Chief to be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, 2021 looks as though it could be a great year for fans of the series. The Halo community will surely continue to release some remarkable fan creations to celebrate their love of the series, and hopefully the upcoming Halo Infinite will inspire even more Halo fans that find a love for the classic series.
