The Halo phenomenon has been going strong for ten years. To celebrate a decade of excellence, gamers both young and old will be able to relive those first moments the Master Chief set foot on the ring world in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Releasing alongside this remake is an art book titled 'Halo: The Art of Building Worlds.' This is something every die-hard Halo fan can't pass up.

Art books are nothing new in the gaming industry. Games like Gears of War 3 and Modern Warfare 3 have art as pack-ins in special editions, however 'The Art of Building Worlds' art book is not a small incentive for purchasing Anniversary. In fact, it doesn't come with the game at all. This is a standalone book that will contain over 400 images visually documenting the past 10 years of all things Halo.

This book will feature sketches, commentary and concept art from the 30-man art team that brought Halo to life. Fans of the series will get to see art from every stage of development. From early concepts of the Master Chief – who has his own chapter in the book – to the many creatures that make up the Covenant, and even Noble Six.

Much of the book will also focus on the many environments gamers have fought in over the past decade. New Mombasa, Reach and every other level in the Halo series will get their own section detailing the design process that went into creating these worlds. Even the wildlife of the game will be discussed.

We've seen concept art before, most recently surrounding Halo 4, however this book will blow anything you've seen out of the water. Also this book sounds as if it will offer a bit more insight into the design process than the developer diaries.

Microsoft and 343 Industries are pumping a ton of effort into Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, and for good reason. Not only is this the game that is viewed my millions as one of the best first-person shooters ever, but introducing Master Chief to a new generation of gamers is essential to the future of the franchise.

Will you be picking up 'Halo: The Art of Building Worlds' along side your pre-order of Halo: CEA?

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will release exclusively for the Xbox 360 on November 15th.
