As we slowly move closer and closer to the launch of Halo 5: Guardians this Fall, Microsoft and 343 Industries continue to promote the upcoming sequel through their Hunt the Truth campaign. Throughout the length of the online promotion, bits and pieces of Halo 5 information, including back story on Master Chief, have been released.

One of the more intriguing parts of the Hunt the Truth campaign was a large puzzle compiled of many smaller images sent out to various people. Needless to say, the Internet banded together, and put their individual images together to form one complete image: the above poster featuring Master Chief, Spartan Locke, and their respective squads that will aid them in Halo 5: Guardians.

It's with this one image, though - specifically the part about the two squads - that draws the most interest, as it could be hinting at Halo 5's gameplay. Master Chief and Spartan Locke's squads - Blue Team and Red Team - amount to four people each. Combine that with the fact that both will play key roles in the story of Halo 5 and its campaign, and the new image suggests that four-player co-op will be a feature within the game.

Previous games in the series have featured co-op in the campaign, but it was always one player as Master Chief, and everyone else as color swapped Chief-lookalikes (or the Arbiter in Halo 2). If speculation based on today's image is to be believed, co-op in Halo 5: Guardians will give people the option to play as both Blue and Red team.

Blue Team's members are likely to be Spartans Linda-058, Kelly-087, and Fred-104, who have already appeared in the Halo: Escalation comic series alongside Chief. Locke's squad, however, has yet to be confirmed, though everyone's identities are expecting to be revealed at E3 later this year. Microsoft said as much over on Xbox Wire, after announcing that the image will also serve as the game's final cover art.

"Today, we’re proud to release the final cover art for Halo 5: Guardians, including a special video version that highlights the Spartan fireteams that play a crucial role in the showdown between the Master Chief and Spartan Locke.

Who are these Spartans? This and many more mysteries will be uncovered as we draw closer to the world premiere of Halo 5: Guardians at E3 2015. Join us as we #HUNTtheTRUTH."

The "special video version" mentioned refers to a new video released today that is basically a motion poster for the cover art. You can watch it below.

Halo 5: Guardians releases on October 27, 2015 for the Xbox One. Eager fans can pre-order the game to get special armor for Locke, or maybe hold out for the limited edition Xbox One console. That will probably be pretty cool.
