Halloween Kills is weeks away from its premiere, and now is the perfect time to start getting ready for both the movie and the Halloween season by watching the original film. But for those who might get scared a little easier than others, they can still enjoy the spooky season fun by watching this not-so-scary parody of Michael Myers, edited with a clip of a young Jamie Lee Curtis from the original 1978 movie.

Fans of the original Halloween movie know this scene well. Laurie Strode arrives back home to find her window is open. She goes to close it but stops a minute to look out the window. That is when she notices Michael Myers hiding behind some fabric sheets hanging outside to dry. Just as quickly, he disappears when a gust of wind picks up a sheet, covering Michael so he can make an escape. Laurie backs away from the window, and the phone rings.

The parody was originally uploaded by the YouTube account Bill G, which posted the three-minute and forty-second video along with other similar parodies back in 2015. One of the videos circulated around the internet and was then edited into a shorter version in 2018, which was uploaded by the YouTube account ryanw1401. The shorter version of the parody trimmed down the video and gave just the best parts, which made the Michael Myers parody even more hilarious. It’s the perfect video for Halloween fans who want to be spooked out while having a laugh.

In the edited parody, Michael Myers can be seen casually relaxing in a hammock after a long day of creeping around, murdering people. He also rakes a bunch of leaves and then makes a snow angel in the leaves. Laurie watches Michael with a puzzled, yet curiously frightened look on her face as Michael Myers quickly changes tasks. Michael suddenly pulls out a grave and points to it a few times before the camera zooms in on his face while he points back to Laurie, implying that she will soon be dead because of him. Still, Laurie just looks out her window at Michael with that same, memorable expression. Out of nowhere, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th shows up, and the two crazy villains play a card game before Jason gets angry and flips the table.

Laurie finally gets scared enough to back away from the window, but Jason and Michael Myers can still be seen playing on a kids’ jungle gym set that has suddenly appeared, swinging and on a slide while still sending threatening stares towards Laurie. Part of the fun of the Halloween season is taking advantage of watching all the classic horror movies, but throwing in some spooky fun every now and then will make the season that much more memorable, and edits like this Halloween parody can help get people into the spirit of the holiday.

Halloween (1978) is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
