A slasher franchise needs a good bout of kills to keep audiences entertained and terrified. Thankfully for them, Halloween features a bundle of kills from Michael Myers. The character of Michael Myers is somewhat of a boogeyman and is referred to as The Shape in the Halloween franchise. His kills are plentiful in the decades that he has appeared in film, and the end may soon be in sight.

Nothing will stop Michael Myers from killing. He needs no weapon or drive, just a lust for violence. Michael Myers is always seen with his iconic bleached and dyed Captain Kirk mask, and in the films that he has featured in, he has more than satisfied audiences’ gore cravings in his murder sprees, but only some kills can be Michael Myers’ best.

9 Samantha And Spitz - Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers (1989)

As a couple, Samantha and Spitz decided to have intercourse in a quiet barn. They begin with a prank, where Spitz attacks Samantha as a joke. Unbeknownst to them, Michael Myers was there watching and joined in on his kind of fun with a pitchfork through Spitz’s body in typical 80s horror gore.

Samantha herself died after taking the pitchfork from Spitz’s corpse and attempting to attack Michael Myers with it. Michael grabbed a scythe and sliced her chest with it, thus leaving her to bleed to death whilst drenched in Spitz’s blood.

8 Bob Simms - Halloween (1978)

Bob and his girlfriend Lynda were going to spend their night engaging in intercourse after discovering that they had an empty house. Little did they know that the reason the house was empty was that Annie Brackett had been murdered by the same culprit who would murder Bob Simms.

Bob went downstairs to grab a beer from the kitchen after spending time with Lynda. It wasn’t long before the back door opened, and Bob went to explore the opened closet. Michael Myers emerged from the room and rushed at Bob with a knife, pinning him through the chest to the wall with force. It shows Michael Myers’ strength and how he has no reason for his kills.

7 John Strode - Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers (1995)

One of the few deaths that seemed deserving is that of John Strode. John was the abusive, alcoholic, and greedy husband to a victimized family. He is the brother of Laurie Strode’s father. After discovering that the Myers’ house is unsellable, he purchased it for himself, which would be the beginning of his end.

John came home to an empty house with the power off. After venturing down to the basement, he was stabbed through the stomach with a knife and pushed against the fuse box. John Strode was electrocuted to death, held in position for so long that his head exploded. It’s a campy yet terrifying death.

6 Firefighters - Halloween Kills (2017)

With Michael Myers trapped in Laurie’s basement and fires raging around him, ready to engulf him once and for all, many wondered just how he would escape. Thankfully for Michael, firefighters arrived on the scene to rescue him, but it was not Michael who needed rescuing.

In a scene straight out of John Wick, Michael Myers begins Halloween Kills by murdering every firefighter in his path in a gruesome fashion. He uses picks, axes, and even power saws to eliminate each firefighter. It’s a memorable way to begin the movie, and a fun bout of killing, even if the firefighters did not deserve the evils that awaited them in the basement.

5 Annie Brackett - Halloween (1978)

Some of the most memorable kills from the Halloween franchise come from the realism of the first film. Annie Bracket was one of Michael Myers’ victims and was stalked throughout the film. When she arrives in her car, she doesn’t expect Michael Myers to be waiting for her in the backseat.

It’s a frightful occurrence, and all too real. Many to this day check their backseat because of Michael Myers’ encounter with Annie Brackett. Annie was strangled whilst Michael perversely breathed on her and finished her with a cut to her throat with a knife. It’s a ghastly and memorable kill.

4 Dr. Sartain - Halloween (2018)

Dr. Sartain was the newest psychiatrist to tackle the question of who is Michael Myers and why does he do what he does. It seemed as if the Halloween franchise had found its new version of Dr. Loomis, but that would soon flip the concept on its head. Dr. Sartain becomes an antagonist and is consumed by his desire to understand what Michael Myers is, and ultimately helps save him.

Sartain believes that Michael and Laurie both exist due to their mutual desire to kill one another and lures Michael to Laurie’s house. It’s only later that Sartain’s theory is disproven, as Michael Myers slams his foot through his head like a pumpkin. A memorable and grotesque kill.

3 Oscar - Halloween (2018)

Things continue to spiral for poor Allyson. Her mother and grandmother are distant from each other, she’s just watched her boyfriend cheating on her, and now her drunk friend has made a move on her. She leaves in frustration and disgust whilst Oscar sits in a garden. With a swift set of footsteps, Oscar finds Michael Myers chasing him.

After hearing the commotion, Allyson finds Oscar impaled on a gate spike in a jump scare fashion, with Michael Myers himself watching in the distance. It’s an intense and chilling moment as Michael Myers marks his return to Haddonfield. The music blares in celebratory shock for the evil return of this slasher icon, and his mark on the Strode family resumes. His appearance here is supernatural.

2 Judith Myers - Halloween (1978)

The beginning of the Halloween franchise opens through the eyes of Michael Myers. Audiences watch in horror as the six-year-old boy rummages for a knife and finds his sister upstairs after intercourse. She was the first victim of Michael Myers, his sister. It’s a terrifying scene that promises audiences that the worst is yet to come.

Judith’s death is rather brutal, as she is naked as Michael Myers plunges his knife into her, over and over whilst she screams and wails. It’s a chilling murder, and audiences can’t help but think of it, for it’s the act that began the rumors of a bogeyman in Haddonfield.

1 Lynda Van der Klok - Halloween (1978)

There’s a lot of iconic imagery in horror films and slashers. Perhaps none are more iconic than when Michael Myers disguised himself as Lynda’s boyfriend, Bob. Wearing a ghost sheet with Bob’s glasses over them, Michael quietly approached Lynda, who believed her boyfriend was just being silly.

Whilst Lynda calls Laurie to let her know of her plans, Michael Myers, still disguised in a ghost sheet, murders her with the phone cord. He strangles her, all whilst groaning and breathing heavily, and Laurie listens on the phone, none the wiser.
