Hades is an extremely challenging game, but it's boss fights are easily the most challenging portions, requiring the use of the best boons in the game. At the end of the third area in the game, Elysium, players are faced with one of the most difficult fights in the game. They must defeat two bosses simultaneously, this time being Asterius the Minotaur and Theseus, a great greek hero.

Coming out on top of this fight in Hades is no easy feat, and this is definitely where most players get really stuck. Thankfully, understanding the enemy's moves and patterns can help players develop a few techniques to handle this deadly duo.

This will be the hardest fight players have faced up to this point, much harder than Hades' second boss the Bone Hydra. Individually both of these enemies are simple and easy to handle for the most part, but together they can be extremely overwhelming.

For starters, players should always target Asterius first and try and defeat him as fast as possible if they want to have any chance of leaving Elysium alive, much less escaping from the underworld. Theseus will be a lot easier to handle once the bull is out of the way, and the second phase of Theseus is much harder to deal with if the Minotaur is still alive. What's more, Asterius receives a buff when Theseus is slain first, but if the Minotaur is killed first Theseus actually loses access to one of his attacks. Theseus only uses two main attacks for most of the fight, a spin attack and a spear throw. Keep distance from him and make sure there's a pillar blocking any spear throws and he shouldn't be much of an issue.

For players wondering how to beat Asterius, it's simply a matter of dodging his double axe swing, leaping attack, and bull rush and then attacking when there's an opening. Once at half health, Asterius will start producing shockwaves with his attacks. These can be a bit difficult to dodge but don't change things up too much. After killing Asterius, the next step is to reduce Theseus to half hit points. This can easily be done by hiding behind pillars and waiting for the hero to throw his spear. After retrieving it, he will always walk away, turning his back on Zagreus and leaving himself open to attack.

Theseus will call upon the aid of a god. This has a different effect depending on which call he uses, but most of them cause area of effect circles of damage to spawn around Zagreus. While calling aid, Theseus is vulnerable even from the front, so this is the best opportunity to deal damage. The best bet is to try and burst him down while dodging the god's ability as best as possible. Using a fully charged call here can sometimes end the fight outright as well.
