Nintendo has continued its trend of marking its Nintendo Direct Minis with some notable surprise launches. With today’s Direct Mini, Switch owners were treated to the news that Ori and the Will of the Wisps is now available for Switch, and joining it on the console today is Supergiant Games’ Greek mythology-flavored roguelike, Hades.

This is something fans of Supergiant’s latest have waited almost two years for. Since Hades was first released in early access on the Epic Games Store, the developer has gradually built the game up towards a complete release. And now that Version 1.0 is available for both PC and Switch, players will finally be able to see the tale of Zagreus, son of Hades, and his attempt to escape the underworld all the way through to the end.

Starting today, Hades will be available on the Nintendo eShop, Epic Games Store, and Steam for $25, but to celebrate the launch, Supergiant is offering the game at a temporary 20% discount, bringing the price down to $20. That might not sound like much of a discount, but it should still be welcomed by players interested in Hades’ action-packed gameplay and varied roguelike elements.

Unfortunately, not all the news is good. While Hades was originally supposed to include cross-save support at launch, Supergiant had to delay the cross-save feature due to setbacks while testing it. Luckily, it shouldn’t be much longer before it’s finally added to the game, as the developer said it should be able to introduce it in an update later this year.

Hades is now available for PC and Switch.
