Hades is an exciting and fast-paced hack-and-slash but the exciting gameplay is only one facet of Zagreus' amazing adventure. In fact, the high-octane combat often takes a back seat to the amazing voice acting and character development seen throughout the title. Over time, Zagreus will learn a lot about the inhabitants of the underworld and players will have an opportunity to further their relationship with the Prince himself.

In order to progress the relationship bar with many characters, and unlock more of their interactions, players will need to eventually complete favors. Some of them are more complicated than others, and some require gamers to grind quite a bit during their escape attempts. Getting close to Skelly is a good example of this, as the "training dummy's" favor takes a good chunk of resources to complete. Here's a look at exactly how to finish Skelly's favor in Hades and the reward Zagreus receives for doing so.

How To Unlock Skelly's Favor

Skellys-Prizes

Skelly won't ask players for a favor unless they meet a couple of requirements first. In order to coax the skeleton into giving up the task, Zagreus will need to get his relationship level to six hearts. This can easily be done by offering Skelly some Nectar (six times in total). Aside from that, players will also need to unlock four different non-Zagreus-based aspects of weapons. These can be from any weapon or multiple weapons, and it doesn't matter what order or which ones are unlocked as long as they are aspects that do not pertain to Zagreus himself.

Once players have completed the pre-requisites, Skelly will speak to them during their next run and offer them the quest. From there, Skelly's favor is pretty straightforward, albeit a bit alarming. He wants Zagreus to kill him to release him from his contract. In order to do so, Zagreus will have to use an upgraded version of the Stygian Blade. To get this, players will need to unlock the Level 5 Aspect of Zagreus on the blade itself. Doing so will cost a total of 5 Titan Blood.

After players "kill" the skeletal helper with the upgraded Stygian Blade, they'll be able to offer him Ambrosia (the next time he's encountered in the Courtyard). Doing so will allow Zagreus to reach a maximum of 9 hearts with Skelly, which will reward gamers with the Eternal Rest prophecy, and more importantly, the Companion Rib. This special helper can only be summoned once per combat encounter and five times in total per run (but this number can be upgraded via Ambrosia).

When summoned, Companion Rib will spawn with 250 hearts worth of health, shouting at nearby enemies and drawing their attention to allow Zagreus to focus them down or escape from hordes of them.

NOTE: This special companion will not work against Charon.
