Of the many excellent titles to release in 2020, Hades was an extremely impressive and memorable game for many players. With a multitude of unique, well-designed characters, tight and responsive combat mechanics, and a cacophony of different ways to approach the gameplay, Hades left an incredibly strong impact on nearly all who played it. It's even starting to get compared to some of the most beloved games ever created.

Hades' community of fans that has been cultivating since well before the game even launched has managed to accomplish quite a lot. With numerous pieces of fanart and cosplays surfacing online and one fan even building a custom arcade cabinet for Hades, this game has brought out the best in so many fans. Though, Hades' unique art design has lent itself to some extremely impressive crossover art.

Over on Reddit, a user by the name of Blindster13 has posted an incredible piece of crossover art that features Kratos from God of War. The art style is so on-point in terms of how it compares to Hades' official art style that it almost looks like an Easter Egg.

Kratos' character design even features dialogue that emulates how he would talk to Atreus in God of War (2018). In a lot of ways, Kratos kind of benefits from being in the world of Hades, considering his Greek heritage and his previous relationships with the Greek gods of Olympus. Although, this is in spite of the fact that God of War is done with Greek mythology.

In any case, this is still a fantastic, lovingly detailed piece of fan art that almost looks as though it's an in-game screenshot. Seeing such an iconic character like God of War's Kratos find his way into fanart based on a game that hasn't been around nearly as long as God of War, goes to show how it has managed to influence the gaming community in unexpected ways.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for both Hades and Supergiant Games. While Hades has so far been a massive success, the studio's previous games like Pyre, Transistor, and Bastion have left an impactful, strong impression on many players within the gaming community. With each new game, Supergiant Games continues to reinvent itself, and it will be exciting to see what other plans the studio has in store for its loving fanbase.

Hades is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC.
