Hades, the roguelike action role-playing game by Supergiant Games has exited early access. And including the early access purchases, Hades has already sold over 1,000,000 copies.

After about two years in early access, Hades has been released and is receiving fantastic reviews. Indie developer Supergiant Games posted a tweet sharing info about the game's great milestone in sales, to go along with its critical acclaim.

Hades exited early access and launched on the Switch and PC on September 17, 2020. The game sold 700,000 copies while in early access, and Supergiant Games thanked the players who jumped in on the experience with their tweet. It is certainly exciting for the indie developer to have already hit the one million copies mark.

Supergiant Games has sneakily become an indie-darling of a developer. Pyre reviewed very well and is Supergiant's most recent title before Hades. The game is a sports and RPG crossover that has to be experienced to fully understand. Meanwhile Bastion and Transistor also both have Metacritic scores in the 80s and above. It looks like Hades could be the highest-rated yet, and Supergiant Games can hope that the sales will continue to back that up.

One of the hallmarks of Supergiant Games' titles is the beautiful music, and recently Supergiant released a 10th Anniversary Orchestral Collection for fans to celebrate the games that the developer released up to that point. If the success thus far of Hades is a foretelling of things to comes, Supergiant Game's will be celebrating the game as well during upcoming anniversaries.

Hades is available now for PC and Switch.
