Hades from Supergiant Games remained exclusive to PC and Nintendo Switch platforms for nearly a year, but the award-winning game is finally available on PlayStation and Xbox. The PlayStation and Xbox releases of Hades has mostly gone off without a hitch, with critics heaping even more praise on the roguelike game, solidifying it as one of the top games of the last couple of years. Unfortunately, there is a slight problem with the Xbox version of Hades, though there's a quick fix to resolve the issue.

Players have been having trouble with Hades achievements not unlocking on Xbox. The problem does not appear to be impacting the PlayStation versions and their trophies, just Hades on Xbox One and Xbox Series X. This is definitely unfortunate for Xbox fans who are trying to unlock all of the achievements in Hades, players should rest easy knowing that their progress is still being tracked and that there is a way to force the achievements to pop.

To fix the issues of Hades achievements not unlocking on Xbox, players need to completely close out of the game, don't use the Xbox Quick Resume feature or anything like that. Once the game has been shut off, the next step is turn off the Xbox. Turn it back on and re-open Hades. When that's done, the Hades Xbox achievements that players earned in their previous runs should start unlocking.

It's unclear when this issue with Hades' Xbox achievements will be fixed, but hopefully fans don't have to wait too long. In the meantime, they can continue fighting against Hades' tough bosses and try to conquer the game without having to worry about not getting credit for unlocking any of the achievements. Even if the achievements aren't popping as soon as their requirements are fulfilled, they should unlock for Xbox players after restarting the game and console.

Despite this one blemish, the Xbox port of Hades has otherwise gone off without a hitch. Hades reviews continue to be overwhelmingly positive, even with this problem, and so it seems that Xbox fans should otherwise be in for a good time, regardless of the issue with achievements not working.

Anyone who is on the fence about Hades for whatever reason should note that they can try the Xbox version without actually having to buy the game itself. Hades is available on Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers to the service can play the game to their heart's content without spending a dime beyond the cost of their subscription.

Hades is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
