It has been a little over a month since launching its open beta on PlayStation 4 and H1Z1: Battle Royale has reached an impressive milestone. The third-person free-to-play battle royale shooter has crossed a staggering 10 million players on the console. The H1Z1: Battle Royale open beta will continue until an official launch later this year, with Daybreak Games continuing to release updates throughout.

The 10 million number is especially impressive given the initial numbers Daybreak shared regarding H1Z1's launch on PS4. The developers said H1Z1 had 1.5 million players just a week after launch, with 4.5 million total downloads. The leap to 10 million players shows that H1Z1's console momentum is only growing.

To celebrate the 10 million player achievement, Daybreak has decided to provide H1Z1 players on PS4 will a little bonus. All players who have logged on to H1Z1 on PlayStation 4 before Wednesday, June 27 at 11:59 pm PT will receive the Darkfire Pickup Truck and Sunrise Parachute skin for free. The free DLC will be delivered over the weekend, directly into player inventories.

Some other interesting statistics include over 102,289,237 hours played throughout the H1Z1: Battle Royale beta so far and 167,466,025 kills, which is more than one but less than two kills per hour. That may seem low, but remember that in a 150-player match there's only a maximum of 149 kills. In the battle royale genre, kills aren't guaranteed. Finally, there were 16,589,895 headshots meaning just 1 in 10 kills is a headshot. That may seem like poor accuracy but makes more sense considering 25% of all kills come from the Riot Shotgun.

Daybreak made today's announcement as part of building hype for its latest PS4 patch, which introduces Revive mechanics and aim acceleration adjustments. The Airstrike Signal weapon has also been added H1Z1 in Thursday's patch, so PS4 players have plenty of changes to check out in the latest iteration of the open beta. No, PS4 players haven't gotten the new Outbreak map that PC players got today, but it will likely come eventually.

H1Z1: Battle Royale is available free-to-play right now on PC and is in open beta on the PS4.
