Guilty Gear Strive's been a huge success for Arc System Works, both in a critical and commercial sense. Even since its launch last year, Strive has been one of the highest and fasting selling games within its franchise, with the game receiving plenty of post-launch support too. Guilty Gear Strive's first season pass added five DLC characters, featuring a mix of brand-new and returning characters. This season pass consisted of Goldlewis Dickinson, Jack O'Valentine, Happy Chaos, Baiken, and Testament.
Guilty Gear Strive's momentum is still on the upswing, as evidenced by updates such as crossplay between the PS4, PS5, and PC versions of the game. A story mode expansion focused on some of the characters that didn't appear in Guilty Gear Strive's single-player campaign is also set to arrive later this month. On top of all that, Guilty Gear Strive will also be getting a second season pass, with an additional four characters being added.
Shortly after the final character of Guilty Gear Strive's Season Pass 1 DLC was released, a data miner on Twitter known as UltIMA647 had dug through the code to see if there were any pieces of evidence that would point to which character would be next. They did manage to find said evidence with two lines of dialogue between Testament, and a character that isn't part of the game yet.
According to their findings, these are pre-match dialogue lines between Testament and the character known as Sin Kiske. For the uninitiated, Sin Kiske is the son of two Guilty Gear veterans, Ky Kiske and Dizzy, who was raised by Sol Badguy. While not a part of the game itself, modders of Guilty Gear Strive have managed to create a playable version of him using his appearance from Guilty Gear Xrd and Rev 2.
With Sin's possible inclusion, players have put together the possible next roster of Guilty Gear Strive's DLC, due to many previous data mines since the game's release. When Jack O'Valentine was added to Strive last year, data miners had found similar pre-match dialogue between Happy Chaos, Baiken, and Slayer. While Happy Chaos and Baiken did end up being a part of the first season pass, the latter was oddly absent, with Testament taking his place.
With regard to the last two spots of possible DLC for Guilty Gear Strive for this second season pass, older datamines have possibly filled those in. These include the character known as That Man, along with assets for Jam Kuradoberi. With these assets having previously existed at some point, it's entirely possible that these four characters will be coming to the Season 2 pass. However, this is speculation for the time being, so this should all be taken with a grain of salt.
