Guilty Gear Strive's launch last year has been a smash hit for Arc System Works. While the franchise hasn't been household name among the likes of Capcom's Street Fighter, fans and critics have been loving this newest entry in the franchise, with it not only seeing critical acclaim, but also commercial success. This is evident with Strive becoming one of the fastest and highest selling games within its franchise, a big milestone for the fighting game developer. The game has also been getting plenty of post-launch support, with Guilty Gear Strive's first season pass adding five new characters to the roster.

Once Arc System Works announced the returning Guilty Gear veteran Testament as the final character of the Season 1 Pass, plenty of other updates were revealed shortly after. This includes crossplay between the PC, PS4, and PS5 versions of the game, along with a second season pass of four additional characters. One of the bigger pieces of DLC that was announced was a Story mode campaign DLC expansion known as "Another Story" for late-April.

This story mode expansion for Guilty Gear Strive will be focused on some of the characters that didn't appear in the main story mode. Arc System Works announced the latest details for this expansion, including its release date for April 29th. The developer also gave out details of what to expect from this side-story add-on, including which characters would be appearing.

In Guilty Gear Strive's Another Story, Ramlethal Valentine gets word of an emergency incident in the outskirts of Illyria. From there, she meets a mysterious young girl named Delilah. She bears resemblance to another character known as "Bedman" who first appeared in Guilty Gear Xrd. Delilah also stated to have a unique condition that have kept her inside her dreams, and has just woken up. May, Faust, and DLC Character Baiken will also be making appearances, evidenced by the provided screenshots from Arc System Works.

Many fans expressed their excitement for the announcement of this expansion, as it would give more lore and be focused on the characters who were absent from the story mode campaign. A lot of fans were excited to see that Guilty Gear mainstay Faust would also be getting a spotlight, as he is both a fan-favorite and was absent from the events of Strive. The same sentiment applied to Ramlethal and Delilah, with the latter being highly anticipated due to her connection with Bedman as siblings.

Guilty Gear Strive is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
