First and foremost, Living World Season 1’s third episode, “Clockwork Chaos,” arrives in the upcoming patch. Scarlet Briar makes her bombshell debut on the scene and establishes herself as a major threat to Lion’s Arch and the world at large. The new episode will be permanently free for all players, as is the rest of Living World Season 1 in Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2 is also adjusting several game mechanics across the title. Several low-level world bosses from the original zones–the Great Jungle Wurm, Shadow Behemoth, Svanir Shaman Chieftain, and Fire Elemental–will have their mechanics revamped for the first time in 10 years by using new systems and design philosophies to improve them. Additionally, Guild Wars 2 is adjusting raid rewards and combinations of Fractal Instabilities in a continued attempt to make endgame content more approachable.

That’s not all Guild Wars 2 has planned. August 2nd marks the beginning of the Festival of the Four Winds event and adds the Kralkatorrik Legendary Weapon skins and a balance update. The fourth episode of Living World Season 1 drops on September 13th, but Guild Wars 2 fans should keep an eye out for the end of August. Guild Wars 2’s 10th anniversary is on August 23rd, with Gamescom 2022 happening right after. It is possible ArenaNet has something big planned for the event, such as an announcement for Guild Wars 2’s fourth expansion pack.

Guild Wars 2 players are excited about the upcoming game patch. Though no truly new content has come out since End of Dragons, the various updates have improved the base elements of the game in noticeable ways, such as by re-adding and revamping old content. ArenaNet has big plans for the game’s future; in addition to confirming its fourth expansion is in development already, Guild Wars 2 is officially coming to Steam soon. This new platform will open up Guild Wars 2’s solid community to a whole new market of gamers.
