Guild Wars 2 is no stranger to new content. Whether it's the Heart of Thorns expansion, or the Icebrood Saga that is currently wrapping up, the game continues to offer something new for players to enjoy. However, the developers have more in store for fans.

Recently, ArenaNet announced major news about its upcoming plans for Guild Wars 2 this summer. The developer shared the roadmap of content for the game that comes with a list of updates and activities players can look forward to in May, June, and July - including plans for a major reveal in July.

ArenaNet is inviting players to join the developers for a livestream on July 27 centered around the next expansion, Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons. The livestream will have more details on the expansion's setting and story, gameplay features, a new trailer, and information on the elite specialization beta event. On top of that, the game studio released several pieces of concept art to give players a glimpse of what the expansion has to offer.

The developers recommend players save the date and keep an eye out for more information on the End of Dragons expansion. Before the event, ArenaNet's roadmap shows the content players will be able to enjoy in Guild Wars 2 between now and this summer. The game will receive the skills and balance update on May 11 for professions and elite specializations, and the developer will release more as needed.

On May 25, previous Living World episodes will be available to players for free during their spotlight weeks and updated with new achievements. According to the post, the episodes will feature weekly in chronological order. Players who complete all the Living World Season 2 and 3 achievements will unlock a voucher for a Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons precursor weapon they can redeem when the expansion launches.

Then on July 13, players will have the chance to face the Twisted Marionette again from Living World as a bonus event. The developer will update the boss battle to the game's current design standards. The game will also launch the Legendary Armory, a new storage feature to manage legendary gear and upgrades for players in Guild Wars 2. When a legendary item is added to the armory, it will be available to every level 80 character in a player's account.

There will also be a series of ongoing summer events of competitive and PvE content for May, June, and July. Including events like the World vs. World Weeklong Bonus on May 14 to the Fractal Rush community event on June 1, and the yearly Dragon Bash festival returning on June 22.
