Horizon Zero Dawn and Killzone developer Guerrilla Games posts several job listings which seem to tease a major new PS5 game. These hires are part of the studio's plan to double its number of employees, as Guerrilla Games hopes to work on two games at once, releasing them just a few years after one another.

In the last day, Guerrilla Games has posted more than 60 job listings on its official site. These job roles range from senior game writers to network engineers, and from AI programmers to senior 3D character artists. The jobs do not say "next generation" or anything else about the PS5, however, it seems unlikely that with just over a year until the console's expected release date, Guerrilla would be hiring for a game only releasing on PS4.

The job listings offer some idea about what fans can expect from the Horizon Zero Dawn developer. As the studio is hiring a network engineer, this confirms that one or more of its projects will offer online multiplayer gameplay. The job listing speaks about a game client that "relays any message sent to it to all other players (hiding player IPs and preventing firewall issues)," which sounds like it is describing team communication in a competitive multiplayer setting. Guerrilla job listings posted three months ago also teased a major multiplayer game from the developer.

The AI programmer role also talks about designing "the systems that make our NPCs come to life." The hired programmer will be working with animators, quest designers, and systems designers. The senior game writer job listing asks applicants if they are ready to "push the boundaries" with "Dramatic storytelling in open-world games." Job listings posted last year suggested that Guerrilla is working on a new RPG and these new roles will likely be part of that project.

Guerrilla hasn't made any official announcements about its next projects. However, many fans of the developer are hoping that they will be a new Killzone game and Horizon Zero Dawn 2. Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is rumored to be releasing on PS5 in 2021 but nothing has been confirmed about that just yet.

The developer has brought back a former Killzone 2 developer too, something which did have people asking if a new Killzone is in the works. With so many positions to fill, Guerrilla likely won't be ready to show these games for a while, but fans will be waiting patiently for the reveals.
