Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix's Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has already gone above and beyond sharing details about its narrative, gameplay, and alternate cosmetic skins. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy's announcement reveal was only four months ago, and yet it is set to launch later this October.

This past week, Star Lord had a couple of outfits showcased, with one being an original design for the character based on Crystal Dynamics' design for the Nova Corps. Recently, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has shared looks at alternate cosmetic outfits for Gamora, the adopted daughter of Thanos.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has shared a look at three outfits that players can look forward to accessing for Gamora. Each of her showcased outfits has a deep-cut inspiration from separate comic book arcs, emphasizing the source material's influence on the game's characters. Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: Black Vortex Alpha #1 (2015) has been researched for Gamora's Black Vortex outfit, which is also available for players as one of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy's pre-order bonuses.

Gamora's default appearance in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy seems to be the white-and-black armor that has become synonymous with her character's video game iterations as of late. Rather, Gamora's Casual Kill outfit blends stylish leather and tactical gear from Infinity Gauntlet #2 (2015), notable for its yellow, skull-buckled utility belt.

Gamora's Chosen Daughter outfit is brought to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy from Gamora #1 (2016). "Temperature regulation, noise dampeners, surveillance scrambling, and it feels like Shi'ar silk" is how the off-white and black outfit is described, though it would seem that these descriptors will not have any effect on her gameplay.

In four short months, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has provided fans with impressive gameplay demonstrations. Star Lord is the only playable or controllable member of the Guardians, though each other Guardian may be commanded in combat similar to Mass Effect, whereas Shepard players then perform special abilities with their accompanying squadmates. But cosmetic skins have become remarkably important to modern players who want to customize their characters, so it is a welcome surprise to see these characters' outfits displayed as such.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy announced recently that a number of Drax's outfits will be showcased next, so fans may look forward to checking those out now that they are revealed as well.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy releases on October 26th for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
