Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition will be out in a matter of weeks, and so far, it seems Grand Theft Auto fans are excited for the collection. Instead of simply porting the PS2-era Grand Theft Auto games to modern consoles, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is making some sweeping graphical changes and implementing a new control scheme, which should go a long way in making the games feel new again.

Rockstar Games has not offered a detail list of all the changes that will be implemented in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, but fans have been taking apart the reveal trailer to find them. Previously, fans found evidence to suggest that GTA Trilogy is removing the Confederate flag, and now they think they've found evidence to suggest that Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is going to have a slightly different character model in the new game.

Reddit user _asteroidblues_ shared an image that compared how Tommy looks in the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City to his appearance in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Asteroidblues and other Reddit users have made the observation that Tommy looks slightly heavier in GTA Trilogy when compared to his original character model. It's unclear why this change was made.

Unless new game mechanics were added, it's unlikely that Tommy's weight will fluctuate in the actual game itself. Weight gain and loss is a feature in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, however, where players are able to make main character CJ overweight or in shape based on the actions they do in the game. For example, eating excessive fast food in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will eventually make CJ obese, whereas excercising will make him lose weight.

Fans pointed out other differences when comparing how Tommy Vercetti appears in the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City versus how he will appear in The Definitive Edition. It seems the more cartoony art style used in the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is seeing some "detail" removed from his character model, like buttons on his Hawaiian shirt, for example.

With these differences discovered prior to launch, it will be interesting to see what else fans find when they are able to dive into Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition for themselves. The GTA Trilogy release date is right around the corner, so fans will find out before too much longer.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition launches November 11 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
