Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has come out of nowhere to become one of the most anticipated releases this year. Now, players have the option to pre-load this title so that they waste no time getting into the flow of things from the very moment that GTA Trilogy is officially released on November 11th.

With the release date for this title fast approaching, most people would assume that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy can be pre-loaded on other consoles as well. However, for the time being, only Xbox Game Pass users who own an Xbox Series X/S or an Xbox One can do this. While pre-loading the games on PlayStation 4 & 5 is seemingly confirmed for the 9th, no official information can be found for other platforms in terms of pre-loading.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition remasters three games from the heyday of the series that are widely beloved by the fanbase. These games include Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. With each title being legendary in their own right, fans can't wait to jump into a remaster of these games that feel familiar yet refreshing due to their improved visuals. This, coupled with gameplay improvements and greater accessibility, means that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is poised to become one of the biggest gaming releases of this year.

With a pre-load option available for these games already, most fans are already jumping at the opportunity to download this title on their consoles. The file sizes of these games aren't all that massive either, given the dated nature of these titles. Grand Theft Auto 3 is 5.3 GB, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City sits at 10.7 GB, while Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas boasts the largest download size at 22.6 GB. The latter's comparatively high size is fairly understandable, given the fact that San Andreas was the largest Grand Theft Auto game around before the release of Grand Theft Auto 5.

It's clear that fans are hyped to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and any opportunity that will let them jump into these games quicker is something that they'll welcome with open arms. Xbox users already have the privilege of pre-loading these games on their system, and it's only a matter of time before other platforms will allow for the same.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is slated to release on November 11th for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
