Rockstar has had a difficult time with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition thus far as the game's launch was marred by its failure to meet fan expectations. Fans of the game have now gotten their hands on physical copies of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition and were once again left disappointed, but for a different reason this time around.

Game manuals and world maps are basically non-existent in physical copies of games these days. This is largely owing to the fact that many gamers now buy digital copies of games, which means that even if gaming companies did plan to continue this trend, many players would not end up receiving these items while still paying a similar price. Rockstar, however, has included these items in its games for the longest time. Even physical copies of Red Dead Redemption 2, which released back in 2018, still included a game world map.

It would almost seem strange to open a physical copy of a Rockstar game and not find a copy of a game world map. This is why many gamers were upset to not find a single map in their physical copies of the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition. Although this may seem like a small complaint, some gamers may have held off on buying a digital copy of the game just so that they would have been able to get physical game world maps of the games in the trilogy. The release date for physical copies of the GTA Trilogy was also pushed from December 10 to December 17, although some fans were able to secure their copies early.

The lack of a game world map is far from the only reason that fans are upset with the GTA Trilogy as the game was littered with all manner of bugs and glitches on launch. Many of players' main gripes were, luckily, fixed in update 1.04 for the GTA Trilogy, as issues with character models and bugs that caused the game to crash were both patched in the update.

As is always the case, a few glitches and bugs were not addressed in the update including one bug that is causing GTA Trilogy players to die seemingly without any explanation. Grove Street Games still has its work cut out for it if it plans on getting the games to a point where players will be happy with the experience.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition was released on November 11, 2021, and is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS
