Rockstar Games recently released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition and long-time fans have discovered that several cheats and tricks are still in the remastered versions of the three games. One Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas fan recently showed off a trick that lets players unlock every store right away.

YouTube user Tony LePrano recently posted a video in which they confirm that one of the useful tricks in the original release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is still accessible in The Definitive Edition. This trick allows players to unlock every store in the game shortly after the intro cinematic. The open access to any shop in GTA San Andreas will give players access to more items than they otherwise would without having to progress through the story.

After CJ is arrested in the iconic intro to GTA San Andreas, a cutscene unfolds in which police officer Frank Tenpenny is having an intense chat with the main character before dropping him off. During this cutscene, GTA fans will have to input the jetpack code which is an assortment of button combinations on consoles, or simply Rocketman in all caps on PC. CJ will die immediately upon the completion of the GTA San Andreas cutscene, but when he respawns, the player will have access to any store regardless of storyline progression.

Grand Theft Auto fans may be unfamiliar with the specific cutscene to activate this trick with and many may have already progressed beyond this point in the game. Early on in the game, GTA San Andreas protagonist CJ is in a taxi that's pulled over by the police and he's framed for the murder of a fellow police officer before being dropped off in enemy gang territory. It is recommended that GTA San Andreas players enter the jetpack cheat code before the police cruiser is stopped briefly by the train during the cutscene.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas fans are no strangers to cheat codes unlocking weapons, vehicles, and more, but this store trick is one of the lesser-known ones that were in the original game as well. Some cheats didn't transition to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition but apparently, Rockstar Games decided that this store trick was a worthy addition. It's worth noting that GTA San Andreas fans who utilize this trick will no longer be able to unlock achievements or trophies for the game as it's internally considered a cheat.

It's been noted that players will have to watch the full intro cinematic prior to the in-game footage that they input the jetpack code with. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas appears on its own on the Xbox Game Pass library, allowing more GTA fans on Xbox platforms to utilize this trick. It's currently unclear if Rockstar Games intends to remove this or any other cheats from the remastered GTA trilogy.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
