A GTA: San Andreas super fan has posted an extremely cool image online of a hand-made rug that pays homage to Rockstar's classic. For many players, GTA: San Andreas represents the summit of the franchise, and many of the features that players loved are still yet to reappear in the games almost two decades later. With GTA 6 supposedly coming soon, there's still hope among players that they'll finally reappear.

First released in 2004, GTA: San Andreas has remained a crucial part of gaming history and is generally considered one of the greatest video games of all time. With the 2021 remaster GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, Rockstar released a game that many players considered to be inferior to the original. After plenty of fan excitement, fans were let down by the bugs and the lack of attention to detail in GTA: San Andreas' remaster, which is usually a staple of Rockstar's titles.

The hand-made rug is clearly a labor of love, and the detail shown in the picture is excellent. The rug itself is a rendition of GTA: San Andreas' user interface, showing the in-game map and the game's weapon slots. Not a single detail is missed, down to the subtle shading that can be seen on the weapons. It goes to show that despite the frosty reception of the remastered GTA trilogy, fans still harbor a deep love for the original.

The rug was an instant hit on the subreddit, with multiple players asking to purchase it from the user. It's unclear if the user plans to sell the rug, or keep it as something for themselves. Creating gaming rugs can be big business, as players look for new ways to bring their favorite franchises into their homes. While a GTA: San Andreas rug is definitely unusual, for the right gaming setup it could be a perfect finishing touch.

As the game that brought the GTA franchise into the mainstream for both positive and negative reasons, GTA: San Andreas has led many fans to create their own tributes over the years. Prior to the remaster, one fan was even creating their own version of GTA: San Andreas. With publisher Take-Two known for issuing cease-and-desists to most fan projects, it's unlikely that anything like this would ever fully come to fruition. Fans will just have to hope for further updates and fixes to GTA: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
