Unlike some of the other driving schools in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, players don't actually need to visit the bike school in Las Venturas if they don't want to. That said, getting at least a bronze medal in each of the school's six challenges is one of the many requirements for reaching 100% completion, so those hoping to unlock the two associated trophies/achievements will need to pay the school a visit at some point during their playthrough.

As with the game's other schools — all of which are marked with a red "S" on the map — it's possible to unlock up to three special vehicles that will appear outside. Getting six bronze medals will cause a Freeway to spawn in, while being awarded silver and gold medals in every challenge will unlock an FCR-900 and an NRG-500 respectively. Given that the latter is the fastest bike in GTA: San Andreas, it's arguably a worthwhile endeavor for those who prefer traveling on two wheels rather than four.

The 360 (BF-400)

Much like the first challenge at the car-oriented driving school, the 360 requires players to perform a burnout donut. To do this, they'll need to push both the brake and the accelerator at the same time while also pulling the left analog stick to the left or the right. After performing a full circle, they should press the handbrake button and then release the other two buttons at the same time to ensure that the bike stays in the right position.

The 180 (PCJ-600)

The second bike school challenge once again mirrors its driving school counterpart, with players again expected to turn sharply around a cone and then return and park centrally within a marked bay. The latter is probably the tougher of the two tasks, though players will have a decent amount of time to line things up and so shouldn't need too many attempts to get it spot on.

The Wheelie (FCR-900)

Vice City veterans should have very little trouble completing The Wheelie, nor really should those who've ever played a racing game. To finish the challenge, players will need to perform a wheelie while passing between the cones and then park neatly in the bay at the end. The only thing that can really go wrong is pulling the analog stick too far back so that the back of the bike bottoms out on the ground, but this should be easy enough to avoid after getting a feel for how wheelies work in San Andreas.

Jump and Stop (Sanchez)

Perhaps the easiest of the bike school challenges, the Jump and Stop challenge is exactly what it sounds like. Players will simply need to drive over the ramp and then park neatly in the bay after landing. They'll be given eight whole seconds to pull this off, so there's really no need to drive at anything close to the bike's top speed.

The Stoppie (FCR-900)

To complete The Stoppie, players will need to pull their fingers off the accelerator right before they reach the first cone and then tap the reverse button as they pull the left analog stick up. Once the bike is up on its front wheel, they'll need to get straight back on the accelerator and keep driving forward until they're past the last cone. From here, they can flick the left stick down so that both wheels of the bike are back on the ground and then drive neatly into the marked bay. Due to the number of inputs and the short window in which they are required, this is one of the trickier bike school challenges to get a gold medal for, though with a little bit of practice, it is definitely possible.

Jump & Stoppie (NRG-500)

gta-san-andreas-bike-school-06-jump-and-stoppie

The Jump & Stoppie challenge is another tricky one, though is arguably a little easier than the last. It requires players to jump off a ramp, land straight into a stoppie, and then roll the bike perfectly into the marked bay. By pulling back on the left analog stick just as they hit the ramp, however, players can increase the amount of air that they get, which in turn decreases the amount of time that they'll need to roll the bike on one wheel. Providing players can master the jump and don't hit left or right at any point, they should therefore be able to get a gold medal for the challenge within a couple of attempts.
