Even after Grand Theft Auto Online's seventh anniversary, Rockstar Games still finds new ways to keep players entertained in the game world. Grand Theft Auto Online recently released its Cayo Perico update that includes a new selection of underwater vehicles. The most expensive vehicle is a submarine for the price of $2.2 million.

With the submarine, players can face off against each other in a Grand Theft Auto Online game mode called "Hidden Caches" to beat the clock and find hidden treasures at the bottom of the sea. There are also many upgrades in Grand Theft Auto Online that players can equip to their submarine to help them win these fights, like rocket launchers.

Tracking down these treasures in Hidden Caches could prove tricky, but if players understand how to use the submarine setup efficiently, they can get the hang of it in no time. To help understand the process and beat their friends in a treasure hunt, here is a simple guide on how to find treasures in Grand Theft Auto Online's Cayo Perico.

In total, there are 10 treasures to find with the Grand Theft Auto submarine every day; each one will reward the player with a boost in RP and $7,500. The easiest way to find these treasures is to go into the submarine upgrades and purchase the Sonar System and Moon Pool Vehicle upgrades. The Sonar System helps track down caches with sound so they can be collected in the mini-sub. Players will notice that the caches will appear on the map after they use the sonar.

The only issue is that these upgrades can be costly. The Sonar System installation is a hefty upgrade, costing about $1.2 million on top of the already hefty price tag for the submarine. Not only that, but the Kraken Avisa mini-sub will also cost the player another $1.54 million. As expensive as this sounds, it should be worth farming in Grand Theft Auto Online since players will be able to quickly earn their money back within a matter of months if they farm the caches alone.

This type of investment might seem crazy, but considering how long the game has been out, it is safe to assume that most players already have a huge chunk of cash already saved up. Maybe players could even invite Dr. Dre in Grand Theft Auto Online and impress the music legend with a free boat ride.

GTA Online is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with versions for the PS5 and Xbox One X/S in development.
