Plenty of Grand Theft Auto Online players have already been logging in to the game to check out some of the Stunt Race-themed content that has recently launched. However, Rockstar Games has now confirmed that there is more stunt content on the way, with an emphasis on races to make use of the GTA Online Special Vehicles.
The news comes courtesy of the developer, who advised that this update will be coming later in March. The update, which is titled the Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit, will consist of Stunt Races that are designed specifically for the Rocket Voltic, the Ruiner 2000, and the Blazer Aqua. According to Rockstar, the races themselves will be based around the powers of the vehicles themselves, with the developer telling gamers to “expect to launch across massive gaps at rocket-fueled speed in Rocket Voltic Races, seamlessly shred through land and sea in the Blazer Aqua, and free-fall into vehicular base jump style Races with the Ruiner 2000” in its update.
As well as this, gamers will also be able to flex their creative muscle through the ability to create their own Races for the Special Vehicles. So, gamers looking forward to this update can probably expect some wild Races beyond even those seen with other GTA Online Stunt Race-based updates.
These Stunt Races are not the only updates that Rockstar has planned, either. GTA Online will be getting some new Adversary Modes to follow up on those that came before, with the developer promising a mode called Resurrection that is set to offer a “gallows humor” take on dodgeball. Meanwhile, Rockstar will also be launching a mode called Top Down, which will apparently pay homage to the 2D era of GTA games.
GTA Online will also be receiving some classic vehicles for the first time. Among those available are the Turismo Classic and the Infernus Classic, so fans of earlier Grand Theft Auto games will have something to look forward to. Exactly when the vehicles will be available remains to be seen, but no doubt these classics will be around before too long.
Fans of the game will no doubt be pleased to learn that more content is on the way, and it’s part of the reason why GTA 5 continues to be sitting high in sales charts. With the release date of Red Dead Redemption 2 on the horizon, there’s the potential for further updates to wane, but between now and then it looks like there’s plenty planned for players.
