In Grand Theft Auto Online, everything revolves around the player's bank account, as buying businesses is the primary way to climb up the ranks of the seedy criminal underworld. But with the Expanded and Enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto 5 just looming on the horizon for next-generation consoles, Rockstar Games and Sony are gifting PlayStation gamers some free cash which should make the road to becoming a mob boss a little smoother.

Just like most of Rockstar's games that came before, Grand Theft Auto Online offers a vast, expansive open world full of lush vegetation and beautiful scenic environments. Having said that, Los Santos is more than just a pretty face, as players can explore the map to buy outfits, purchase lavish apartments, helicopters and supercars, plus take part in many other miscellaneous activities like playing golf or visiting the cinema. However, these multi-storey residences and exclusive Los Santos Tuners vehicles do not grow on trees and often come with an eye-watering price tag.

But now, some players can wipe those eyes and get ready to ride behind the wheel of the best cars Grand Theft Auto Online offers. This is because Rockstar Games recently announced that select Playstation users can claim a free monthly deposit of $1,000,000 into their Maze Bank account. With that said, to obtain the hefty amount of cash, players must first be a member of PS Plus.

For the uninitiated, PS Plus is a subscription service available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 that grants users access to online multiplayer, one to two free games per month, up to 100GB of online storage for save data, plus additional bonuses in the PlayStation Store. For subscribers, to claim the monthly income, boot up the chosen PlayStation console and head to the PlayStation Store. Once in the digital storefront, head to the search bar and input “GTA Online PS Plus.”

After the “Download” button has been pressed, simply launch Grand Theft Auto Online. Once in-game, players should be able to find the money in the character’s bank account. However, if the one million dollars is nowhere to be seen, don't worry as some players have stated that their transaction was not available right away and that it was delivered to the account within 72 hours of their logging in.

In summary, with the handful of new cars added to GTA Online, plus the somewhat recent Los Santos Tuners expansion, the options for player expression and interaction have grown. There is now plenty of new content that can be purchased and experienced now that players have that extra sum of cash in their wallets.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in March 2022.
