Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer companion, Grand Theft Auto Online, has changed the Grand Theft Auto experience for many players. As Grand Theft Auto Online continues to receive major updates adding new heists, story content and, of course, new things for players to spend vast amounts of money on, the game has been seen by many as drifting away from the traditional Grand Theft Auto experience. However, Grand Theft Auto Online still proves incredibly popular even as it heads towards its ninth year of being available.

With Grand Theft Auto 6 likely years away as well, it is highly likely that Rockstar will continue to update Grand Theft Auto Online to give players a GTA fix while they wait for the latest entry in the franchise. Of course, with many of Grand Theft Auto Online's updates including expensive luxuries like a yacht for players to customize and their very own doomsday base, having a lot of cash to spend is a requirement for any Grand Theft Auto Online player who wants to live the high life.

One of the ways that players can look to expand their funds in Grand Theft Auto Online is through the free money drops that Rockstar sometimes give out. Grand Theft Auto Online players with a PlayStation Plus subscription can expect a monthly drop of $1,000,000 of in-game currency. However, some players have found that when logging in for their Grand Theft Auto Online reward, they cannot find the money in their account.

Allegedly, this problem is caused by players only logging into the PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto Online. According to the comments of some Reddit posts, users must log into the PS4 version of the game before then loading their character on a PS5 in order to receive the reward. This complex workaround has been criticized by many fans as this issue is only made worse considering the already existing problems players are having with transferring their Grand Theft Auto Online characters.

So far, there is no direct fix for Grand Theft Auto Online players who are unable to get their free PS Plus rewards. However, for those looking to earn quick money, Grand Theft Auto Online often gives players the chance to earn double cash and RP on certain game modes and events. With the next-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 soon to be released, though, many are left wondering why the next-gen consoles aren't getting the same rewards as the current generation.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
