In a game that allows players to live out the power fantasy of a power-mad outlaw, Grand Theft Auto Online consistently delivers players big guns, fast cars, and high-rise suites. However, one of the ways that some of Grand Theft Auto's highest flying cars are accessed within the game is becoming increasingly difficult for some players as a new glitch has started to affect the Car Mechanic feature.

One of the first players to share the Grand Theft Auto Online glitch, Choice_Ad_8423, showed off the result of the issue on reddit, with a few other players sharing their own similar stories. Some players shared some additional glitches that have also been popping up recently, including losing weapons and ammo in their inventory, though these seem less common than the J. Jones glitch.

This newest glitch that players have started running into occurs when they call in a vehicle through The Mechanic, who normally delivers the requested car somewhere nearby. The issue that players are reporting is that sometimes this feature will leave the vehicle over a mile away, or on the other side of town for a select few commenters. An unfortunate result being that players either need to grab a new car from their surroundings, or run endlessly, before they can get back to the order and jump into activities like the new Cayo Perico Heist.

Some instances of this glitch have also been coming from both before and after a the recent GTA Online update that brought fixes to the new submarine. So, it may have flown under the radar as Rockstar was more focused on the more pressing matter of making sure that submarines weren't instantly destroyed by a single Molotov. Regardless, the glitch has been making the entire process of calling a car somewhat useless, as having the new vehicle spawn so far away defeats the entire purpose of the request.

From how some have been responding, this glitch doesn't appear to be occurring every time that players have been calling for a car, and others haven't seen the issue at all. However, for those that have been running into the new glitch consistently, this has been a frustrating situation that has removed a key feature of the game. It appears that Rockstar is still developing strange new additions to GTA Online, so a fix for this J. Jones glitch will likely be coming soon, especially if more players share their experiences with the developer.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
