Rockstar Games is giving Grand Theft Auto Online players a bit of stimulus support during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The team behind GTA Online announced that it would be gifting cold hard in-game currency to all players logging into the game during the month of April. It's a GTA$500,000 one-time boost sent directly to players Maze Bank accounts, though it may take up to seven days to show up. It's just one small thing Rockstar can do to keep GTA Online players having fun during this challenging time.

Giving free GTA$ to GTA Online players isn't the only thing that Rockstar is doing to keep players busy, of course. On Thursday, Rockstar also announced a special GTA Online Arena War event. Those participating in Arena Wars will receive 3x the overall rewards. Those just starting out in Arena Wars will receive a 50% discount on the Arena Workshop, as well as other related discounts, too. Triple GTA$ and RP rewards will make it worth players' while.

Triple rewards will also be available in Time Trial: Sawmill and RC Time Trial: La Fuente Blanca for the duration of the current event. Simeon's Premium Deluxe Repo Work, one of GTA Online's missions, is also granting 2x GTA$ and RP for those wanting bonus rewards from more standard objectives.

If that all wasn't enough, there are a few more discounts to be found in GTA Online. The Arena Sasquatch vehicle is an attractive 60% off, as is the Ocelot Stromberg; at 50% off is the Grotti X80 Proto, and at 40% off are the Invade & Persuade RC Tank and the RC Bandito.

GTA Online is providing players with a lot of different ways to spend all of that free cash that they'll be receiving soon. Even without the discounts, however, GTA Online players are likely to have plenty else to make their money disappear.

It just goes to show that even though Rockstar Games employees are at home, they're still hard at work. Whether they're working on Rockstar's next big game, Grand Theft Auto 6 or otherwise, or if they're putting together events and content for either Grand Theft Auto Online or Red Dead Online, Rockstar's getting things done. It can't be easy, so hopefully GTA Online players are appreciative of all the devs' efforts.

GTA Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
