Celebrating the Grand Theft Auto Online community, Rockstar Games launched a new weekly update that adds new items to the game. Players will be able to enjoy the new Dinka Verus vehicle for free until March 3, along with the Double Rewards in Open Wheel Races, Contact Missions, and more content.

It was recently revealed that the Peyote plants will be returning to Grand Theft Auto Online in the new update. The plants make up one of the game's strange features that players enjoyed due to the gameplay experience they offer. Players will be able to enjoy what the Peyote plants bring to the world of Grand Theft Auto Online again this week.

Players will be able to find the Peyote plants in Grand Theft Auto Online scattered throughout the map of Los Santos. Once players locate and use the plants, they will be able to turn into animals such as a cat, dog, or shark, as well as Bigfoot and more. Players will be able to have some control over what animal they turn into, and they can interact with other players too.

Of course, players will still need to locate the plants before they can experience any animal transformations. In past Grand Theft Auto Online updates, the Peyote plants have shown up in various locations. Some were on land, near or in the ocean, and some in harder-to-reach locations. The update may have the plants in the same places as before or in new positions. Players have already mapped out past locations, so finding them might not be too taxing.

Players will be able to enjoy many fun experiences with the Peyote plants, but they don't tend to stick around too long. The plants previously showed up in Grand Theft Auto Online's Halloween-themed event last October before being removed. For now, it's unclear if the plants will be available in Grand Theft Auto Online through March 3 or will be removed from the online game earlier.

For now, the Peyote plants will be bringing their unique brand of hallucinogenic fun to Grand Theft Auto Online for players to enjoy. Rockstar Games said it will be celebrating the game's online community for the next four weeks, and this is just the first. Rockstar may add future updates with content for players to enjoy leading into March, but until then players can search for the Peyote plants and see what animals they can turn into this time.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X in development.
