A creative Grand Theft Auto Online fan has found a speedy route through one of the game's newest heists, Cayo Perico, managing to skirt a number of challenges in the process. The Cayo Perico Heist was add to GTA Online in December of 2020, and while it has several different routes that can get players to their primary loot with ease, this new one seems to be one of the simplest.

Reddit user TheJDMdriver has posted up a quick solo guide for players looking to make it through The Cayo Perico Heist with as little trouble as possible on their own. As the heist has been available to players for a while now, there are already a number of routes that trivialize the heist for more experienced GTA Online players, however, TheJDMdriver's new path through Cayo Perico may be easier to execute for newer heisters.

In the video, TheJDMdriver starts GTA Online's Cayo Perico heist off by climbing onto the rooftops of the compound, dropping down onto a low wall, and clambering over some banisters onto a balcony. They then turn a corner, shoot one guard in the head, run past another, and then take out the final guard in front of the office, where the vault and primary loot are located. This all takes place in 53 seconds, a time which TheJDMdriver suggests could be much faster, as this "was just a demonstration run."

While this is only part of The Cayo Perico Heist, which also requires players to secure secondary loot from outer buildings on the mission's island, and then execute an escape, it will still likely be a big time-save for GTA 5 players who are struggling with making their way to the vault. TheJDMdriver points out that while this route is perhaps slightly slower than others, it is easy to execute, and "newer players have a much lower chance of getting caught." The main focus of the route seems to be avoiding guards, of which Cayo Perico has many, and when performing heists for quick cash, the less resets required, the better.

The GTA Online community is certainly still booming, though it seems to be mostly discussed in the context of streamers performing GTA Online roleplay these days, so it is refreshing to see that fans are still playing the game's heist mode. Having said that, grinding out heists for money in the online mode can be a struggle for newer players, so having a speedy way to deal with The Cayo Perico heist will be a great boon for those who have been having difficulty getting through the large number of guards in the island's compound.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is available now on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will be released on November 11, 2021.
