With the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, players have the opportunity to experience Grand Theft Auto 3 in a whole new light. This is because the GTA: The Trilogy has overhauled the iconic game with additions such as updated environments, including remastered textures and character models. However, something that has not changed from the original release is the incredible difficulty of the long-infamous mission "Espresso-2-Go!"

For the uninitiated, Grand Theft Auto 3 stars silent protagonist Claude Speed, a low-rank bank robber who spends the game trying to get revenge on his backstabbing ex-girlfriend, Catalina. However, along the way on his quest for vengeance, Claude rubs shoulders with some of Liberty City's most ignominious criminals. One of these modern-day outlaws is Yakuza member Asuka Kasen, who assigns Claude arguably the hardest mission of the entire franchise.

How to Start "Espresso-2-Go!" in GTA 3

To start "Espresso-2-Go!" in Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition, players must first meet with Asuka Kasen. She is situated inside a Panlantic Construction Company construction site in Fort Staunton, Liberty City.

Once inside, a cutscene will trigger that shows the newfound Yakuza leader torturing Miguel by whipping him across the face with a long stick. Asuka then reveals that although the torture has been mostly tiresome, one thing she managed to get out of Miguel is that Catalina has more ways to sell narcotics than to only rely on street dealers. The primary method of distribution is Espresso-2-Go shop stalls.

With this information on the table, Asuka tells Claude to destroy all nine of the Espresso-2-Go stalls and that after he smashes the first stall, he'll have eight hours to wipe out the rest before the Cartel warns their dealers. Easier said than done, fans often regard "Espresso-2-Go!" as the all-time hardest Grand Theft Auto mission. This is because of the tight timer that can make the experience incredibly frustrating for those that don't have every corner of Liberty City memorized.

Where to Find All Espresso-2-Go Stalls in GTA 3

Players will have to act fast and hit hard if they wish to destroy all the counterfeit shops within the time limit, as the Espresso-2-Go stalls are installed in all corners of Grand Theft Auto 3's vast and detailed map. Speaking of which, the stalls can be found in the following locations:

Shoreside Vale

  • Pike Creek - Near the hospital.
  • Francis International Airport - Besides the statue.

It should further be noted that after the destruction of the first stall in Shoreside Vale, a cartel cruiser will start ramming Claude's car. The men inside will carry Uzis in their effort to stop him, so a useful tactic is to exit the vehicle and take out the cruiser on foot, as their machine guns are much less effective on Claude than on cars.

Staunton Island

  • Belleville Park - In the courtyard of a building.
  • Belleville Park - On the west side of the park.
  • Bedford Point - Near the church.
  • Bedford Point - Near the roadside, towards the center.
  • Torrington - Near the large, star statue.

Portland Island

  • St. Marks - By a parking lot.
  • Trenton - Opposite the shipping dock entrance.

Fortunately, passing the mission rewards Claude with a nice and heft $40,000. Although, for struggling players who need a little help in seeing the laborious task through, weapons can be spawned using cheat codes in Grand Theft Auto 3, but doing so will lock trophies and achievements.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
