Grounded has an official preview date set, and gamers who are eager to get lost in its Honey, I Shrunk The Kids inspired world don’t have too long to wait. The game, which is developed by Obsidian Entertainment, will be coming to Xbox Game Preview on July 28.

The survival game, which was first announced last November, will feature several story-based missions that can be tackled solo or with up to four players. Players must fight through the backyard as they craft weapons and armor, build bases, and figure out how to survive the ever-present dangers hiding within the seemingly safe garden.

Obsidian -- who are also behind the well-received The Outer Worlds -- intends to develop Grounded in a way that allows a different kind of gaming experience, ensuring players can enjoy a specific playthrough that is unique to them.

In order to protect themselves, players can utilize acorn shells as armor and drink dew drops off of grass as drinking water, as well as holding on to pollen to float across wide gaps and cross terrain faster. These are sure to just be a few of the unique ways players can explore the world in Grounded.

With its main characters having been shrunk down to the point where baseballs and even ants dwarf them, gamers can explore the mysteries around them as the seemingly known becomes vast and dangerous. Not every threat is present, either, with the trailer teasing alien structures that can be discovered and an unknown enemy that is closely monitoring Grounded’s protagonists.

Grounded will be available on Xbox One through the Game Preview program beginning July 28.
