The new Grounded game is massive popular even though it is still in early access. This survival game hit a milestone of one million players in the first 2 days, which is pretty impressive for an unfinished game. Many have played enough to get to the final story mission, and it can be deceptively difficult to finish.

The Final Story Mission

In order to complete the Grounded story, players need to travel to a location called Spade Gulch. There they must find a marker that isn't on the Yard Map. Spade Gulch is in the eastern part of the map, and it is named after the giant spade that cuts through the landscape.

The Marker Location

Players want to look for a large valley dug into the yard. It will be littered with acorns from the Acorn Tree where players can dig up grubs to get grub hide and goop. There will also be acid beetles, so make sure to bring along plenty of armor and weapons to fight them off. Here is the location on the map:

Spade Gulch Marker Location on Yard Map

The final marker for the final mission in Grounded will be located underneath a leaf in a shallow hole in the yard. Here's a video that will get players exactly where they need to go for this marker:

The blue flashing marker will be waiting, and players will have to build the marker with 2 sprigs, 1 clover leaf, and 2 plant fibers, which is what players craft woven fiber from. Once they build with the marker, they will complete the final mission. Players will get some Raw Science for completing this final location.

Raw Science

Raw Science can be traded in for recipes for all sorts of crafts in Grounded, including making flooring for bases and the upgrade for torches. Just trade Raw Science into the BURG.L Robot. BURG.L will give players bounties to complete, giving them access to more Raw Science to trade in for even more recipes.

Grounded is available in early access for Xbox Game Pass.
