Players that are flocking back to Minecraft to check out the latest editions would greatly benefit from using a Minecraft 1.18 seed or a Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 2 seed. These specialized codes can be entered during world creation to force the procedural generator to craft a specific area, giving players immediate access to some of the cooler things that players have discovered in the latest update. Here's a look at some of our favorite Minecraft 1.18 seeds so far.

The Ultimate Caves & Cliffs

Minecraft Ultimate Caves And Cliffs

Seed: 460628901

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • This biome is lush with features, with a centralized area near spawn. At 29, 148, 250 there is a village, multiple caves, tons of mountains, and a nearby pillager tower that can be seen from a ridge on the edge of the town.

Anyone hopping into the Caves and Cliffs update for, well, caves and cliffs, will definitely want to try this seed first and foremost. This is perhaps one of the most breathtaking seeds currently making the rounds in the Minecraft community, with sprawling snow-tipped mountains and an abundance of incredibly expansive caves.

With a village close to spawn, players will have access to trading right off the bat, as well as some free beds to escape any would-be attackers in survival mode. This seed is an explorer's dream, with peaks and caves as far as the eye can see.

Hidden Lake

Minecraft Hidden Lake Cave Seed

Seed: 8624896

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • Players that spawn in can do a 180-degree turn and climb up and over the mountain ridge directly behind them to reach the hidden lake area that's flanked by mountains and a massive cave system.
  • At 150, 103, 207, players can find a village, a ruined Nether Portal, and a Pillager Tower.

This is easily one of the most beautiful seeds to feature on this list. The area near the spawn is teeming with forests but the real treasure lies in the center of the mountain range directly behind spawn, which houses a hidden lake and a cave system that wraps throughout the mountains.

Those that need to do some trading will find a village nearby and easy access to the Nether if they repair the ruined portal. It's a great place to start in Survival Mode and one of the coolest natural generations we've seen so far.

Village With Nether Portal

VillageBiomePortalCaveJungleCaveMinecraft

Seed: 2104630888

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • Players will spawn directly into a village that features a ruined Nether Portal close.
  • A Jungle biome features a large cave near spawn at 243, 83, -976.

This seed works great for those that love building, specifically in a "coastal" area. The village is on a bit of a peninsula-like landmass and players will have almost instant access to the Nether if they wish thanks to the ruined portal across the water. What's even better is that the area is flanked by Jungles, increasing the possibility that players will encounter a Jungle Temple, and giving them access to Cocoa Beans and Bamboo.

These even a large "established" cave that dives deep underground within the Jungle Biome not too far from spawn.

A Cave, A Cliff, And The Lush Underground

Caves And Cliffs Lush Cave Seed

Seed: 3556433211

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • Players will spot a nearby cave opening that dives deep underground and has pathways that branch off into a Lush Biome. There are snowy cliffs behind the cave in the distance.
  • At 501, 61, -195 there is a mammoth cave opening stretching into the water. This dumps into another large cave that features interesting architecture.

Part of the charm of the Caves and Cliffs update is that it gives players new and interesting biomes to explore. Those that are just jumping into their Minecraft adventure and experiencing the entirety of the new update firsthand are likely itching to jump into the newest biomes to be released.

This seed does a good job of offering up three separate biomes in close proximity to spawn. When players drop in, they'll be able to look across the water and spot a massive cave opening jutting from a hillside. By winding through the huge underground, they'll eventually end up in a Lush biome. Those that want to explore the cliffs will note a large mountain in the background before entering the cave itself.

Tons Of Medium Cliffs And A Watery Cave

CavesCliffsMinecraftUnderwaterCaveCliffs

Seed: 1444970760

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • At spawn, players can see a massive set of cliffs in the distance, there are many other cliffs in the area further out.
  • At spawn, if a player looks into the water, they can see the outline of a deep-running cave that goes incredibly far down beneath the water.
  • There are tons of Spruce Trees nearby spawn.
  • There is a village located at -822, 70, -374

One of the coolest things to happen in the Caves and Cliffs update is the addition of water-based cave systems. The new massive generated underground structures aren't limited to the ground itself and can actually spawn in the ocean or other bodies of water. The seed above showcases this phenomenon with an underwater cave that is smack dab in a lake. Players will definitely need breathing potions to even begin to explore the massive, winding path.

This seed also features some wonky cliff systems, with rocks jutting every which way and in abundance in all directions. It's a great spawn for players that are looking for cliffs to build in and the added challenge of an underwater cave to explore.

The Column Cave And Mushroom Island

Minecraft Column Cave and Bamboo Island

Seed: 2121212144

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • At spawn, there is a nearby egg-shaped hole in the ground that leads into a cave.
  • Near spawn at -553, 67, -377, there is a massive amount of bamboo growing on a small island.
  • Players should be able to spot a ruined Nether Portal at spawn.
  • There is a massive cave of column-like objects at -342, 65, -741.
  • There is a Mushroom Biome (island) at 62, 70, -112.

This seed has a lot going for it. As soon as players spawn in they'll be able to spot a ruined Nether Portal. Nearby there is a small island-like area between two landmasses that is absolutely overflowing with Bamboo. There's even a Mushroom Island of sorts off the coast and across the Ocean a bit.

The real star of the show, though, is a cave that's not too far from spawn and features some amazing architecture thanks to its column-like cobble that juts from ceiling-to-floor. It's a massive area and there is tons to explore for cave-lovers.

The Ultimate Eclectic Seed

Minecraft Seaside Town and Ocean Cave Ramp

Seed: 144439812

Notable Nearby Coordinates:

  • At -414, 63, 22, players will spot an area where the ground is sucked inward and water is pouring from the Ocean as well as a Snow Biome. This leads to a large, winding, underground cave with some underwater sections.
  • Going to -203, 63, -343 will set players on a path through a seaside village that is very close to spawn.
  • Players that continue past the village will head into a Spruce Tree-filled biome and will see massive cliffs the deeper they go.
  • At -440, 64, -515 there is a Ruined Nether Portal in the middle of the water.
  • If players look at -312, 63, 165, they'll spot a small bit of a shipwreck peeking up from the shallow water.

This is the ultimate seed for those that are looking for something different. This seed has a bit of an identity crisis, with multiple biomes overlapping and the player spawning on an ice flow pinned against land and an Ocean. Nearby is a village that skirts the seaside and a slew of Spruce Trees that lead towards some seriously impressive cliffs.

There's even a Ruined Nether Portal nearby, a shipwreck that is slightly exposed above the water, and an underground cave that has a large part of the Ocean flowing freely into it. It's downright chaotic but incredibly entertaining to sift through.
