Most times, video games, even for the PlayStation 5, tend to be sorted into two categories. The first is the triple-A title, a game with a massive budget with a big-name developer and publisher that is likely to get the attention of every person in the industry. The other is an indie game, an experience created by a small group of people with a budget that is reasonably small as well.

But there is still such a thing as the AA game: a title that has a pretty big budget by a developer that has some recognition but isn't big enough to hit AAA status. And if there is one place that is worth looking for some of the best AA games out there, it is the Playstation 5.

An experience made by Remedy Entertainment, Control may be considered a triple-A game if it weren't for the fact that the game was working off a smaller budget than most in that category. Despite this, the game came out well and was the recipient of multiple Game of the Year nominations.

Control is a third-person shooter that takes players on a reality-bending adventure. As Jesse Faden, the director of the Federal Bureau of Control, players must explore the headquarters of the FBC to defeat a paranormal enemy called the Hiss.
