The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition didn't land the way that the developer or gamers had hoped, with the triple pack having serious bugs and flaws. Steps have since been taken to fix some of the most egregious problems with the release, and it looks like PlayStation Now subscribers will soon be able to benefit from these changes.

The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has been out since late last year. However, those who have refrained from buying the trilogy but who have wanted to play Vice City may be in luck, so long as they're subscribed to PS Now.

While it's yet to be confirmed by Rockstar, multiple Twitter users have taken to the internet to share advertisements that have temporarily appeared. These ads have indicated that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be coming to PS Now at some point in the near future, with the game remaining available for subscribers through May 22. Advertisement leaks for other games in the recent past have turned out to be accurate, and given GTA 3 is currently available on PS Now, it's not out of the question for its follow-up to join in after.

The games have been divided up among the subscription services in a bit of an odd way. Currently, PS Now users have access to GTA 3 from the Definitive Edition. However, Xbox Game Pass subscribers received GTA: San Andreas instead. Arguments could be made for offering up either of these to players, as GTA 3 was the game that rebooted the franchise into the massive success it is today, while San Andreas was a major cornerstone of the series and the last title to premiere on the PlayStation 2. It's unclear why Rockstar Games would choose to divide up the trilogy like this between the two services, though, and it's also unknown at this time if Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be treated to Vice City in the near future.

For fans of the classics or those who have never had a chance to play them, this introduction to Vice City should be enjoyable. However, there's still a lot of questions remaining among the overall GTA fanbase. Grand Theft Auto 5's Expanded and Enhanced release is still on the horizon, but not much has been released to show players what they can expect, making some worry about further delays. Additionally, while the rumors have never stopped, the questions of when Rockstar Games will officially announce GTA 6 and what its release window may be are still up in the air. A trip to Vice City in the '80s may help to tide players by for a little while, but with any luck, Rockstar won't keep its fans waiting much longer for something more substantial.

Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
