Grand Theft Auto Online players are hungry for new content, even with the recent release of the substantial Contract update. The grind goes on forever, so Grand Theft Auto Online players are ever demanding more content to unlock and opportunities to earn bonuses and rewards. This week Rockstar delivered on those expectations with a small addition to Grand Theft Auto Online. Introducing the new Grand Theft Auto vehicle, Mammoth's Patriot Mil-Spec.

The Mammoth Patriot Mil-Spec is every bit what its name implies. Rockstar describes it as an international symbol of "American self-importance," which more than accurately captures the new Grand Theft Auto Online vehicle. The Patriot Mil-Sec is, for all intents and purposes, a military humvee with a camouflage paint job and street tires. Rockstar says the Patriot Mil-Spec made the jump from military to civilian usage by "shirking standard safety features" in order to retain its "brutal aesthetic." The Patriot Mil-Spec can have Imani Tech modifications installed at the Agency Vehicle Workshop.

The introduction of the Patriot Mil-Spec comes alongside the introduction of a new week of bonuses and rewards for Grand Theft Auto Online players. Double rewards for both GTA$ and RP are available in both Tiny Racers and via Special Cargo Sell Missions, VIP Work, and Challenges, as well as Resurrection. Alternatively, Payphone Hits and Security Contracts are both paying out 1.5x typical rewards for both GTA$ and RP through January 5.

Rockstar also has some free rewards for Grand Theft Auto Online players logging in to celebrate the new year. All GTA Online players can claim two items. First is the Blue Glow Shades, a pair of neon-glowing sunglasses that are always cool to wear at night. The second is the Party Glow Necklace, which also glows with a neon blue glow. That's not all, either. A package including a Brown Sea Lion Mask, Green Festive Tee, Firework Launcher and 20 Rockets, Full Snacks and Armor, 25 Sticky Bombs and Grenades, 10 Proximity Mines, and 10 Molotovs.

Beyond the new vehicle, bonuses for the upcoming week, and free rewards, Rockstar's also shifted its discounts once again. Current discounts include 40% off Executive Offices and Special Cargo Warehouses, as well as upgrades and renovations for the Office at 30% off. Naturally, there are a range of vehicles that are discounted this week, too.

Between this week's rewards and bonuses and December's The Contract update, Grand Theft Auto Online players should have plenty to keep them busy as the new year begins. Otherwise, GTA Online players can start to think about what Rockstar may have in store for players in 2022.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
