Video game developer Rockstar Games adds a new car and customization features with an update to its open world multiplayer experience in Grand Theft Auto Online.

It’s no secret at this point that Rockstar Games has been focusing on keeping Grand Theft Auto Online flush with content, especially since the studio just recently introduced a new bike and game mode called Vehicle Vendetta to the multiplayer aspect of GTA 5 about a week ago. Now, the developer is continuing its steady post-launch support for the game by giving Grand Theft Auto Online a fresh update that adds a new car and customization option for players to use.

As originally announced on the Rockstar Newswire, Grand Theft Auto Online fans are now able to pick up the Progen Itali GTB Custom from Benny’s Original Motor Works shop in the game. As described by the developer, the Progen Itali GTB Custom is a “sleek jungle cat [that] packs serious speed, devours tight turns with ease, and is sure to terrorize opposing racers across the circuit.”

As seen in the image below, the Progen Itali GTB Custom initially comes to Grand Theft Auto Online with a neon lime-green paint job, but fans can alter its appearance however they like. As Rockstar puts it, the car is “endlessly customizable,” giving players the option to change practically every detail to the vehicle such as engine performance and even “the finest interior details.”

Not only did Rockstar reveal the Progen Itali GTB Custom for Grand Theft Auto Online, but also the developer has announced today that some players in the game’s online community won’t have to go to Benny’s to customize their rides if they don’t want to do so. Apparently, “qualifying executives” can purchase a Custom Auto Shop add-on for their office. However, Rockstar didn’t provide any specific details regarding what level of executive fans will need to be in order to qualify for the custom shop.

In addition to all that has been mentioned thus far, Rockstar Games has also revealed a new weekly sale that will go on through January 16. The discounted deals offer 25% more GTA$ on Vehicle Export, 25% off Special Vehicle Warehouse Renovations & Special Cargo Warehouses, 50% off Grenade Launchers, 25% off Engine Performance Upgrades, 25% off Body Armor, Ammo, Throwables and Explosive Weapon Ammo, and finally, 25% off all Masks.

As of late, it seems as if Rockstar Games has been quite focused on providing the Grand Theft Auto Online community with post-launch content that speaks to players’ inner mechanics, for previous to today’s update, one of the studio’s most recent expansions, the Import/Export DLC, added a slew of new vehicles. Obviously, with the Grand Theft Auto fan base still thriving since the game’s release over three years ago – more than 70 million copies have been shipped – Rockstar’s focus on the title’s multiplayer feature has been a smart decision. After all, the studio continues to make money hand over fist by generating copious amounts of revenue through fans purchasing microtransactions that supplement the flow of free content.

Grand Theft Auto Online can be played through Grand Theft Auto 5, which is available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
