In December, Rockstar Games added the Cayo Perico Heist to Grand Theft Auto Online, the biggest heist in the game yet. Players can take on the heist with friends or solo, and can infiltrate the Cayo Perico island to steal info, cash, and valuable items. On top of the heist, the update added new weapons, cosmetics, and expensive vehicles.

One of the most expensive vehicles in GTA Online, the Kosatka, is a heavily-armed submarine HQ that can be used to plan heists or to obliterate virtually anything in its path. However, the Cayo Perico Heist update came with significant glitches, including one that would send cars flying if they hit a certain bridge, and one that allowed players to free-roam the island of Cayo Perico, as the area is usually only available during the heist.

However, one glitch has been devastating to GTA Online's submarine owners. After paying $2.2 million dollars for the base model of the Kosatka submarine, or up to $9 million for full upgrades to it, players expected the behemoth to be impenetrable. While that should be the case, a glitch was causing one single molotov cocktail to destroy the entire submarine. Luckily, according to GTA dataminer "Tez2," Rockstar Games has pushed out a background update that fixes the glitch, as well as another glitch that was allowing players to duplicate or merge vehicles through a complicated process.

Now that players' multimillion-dollar submarines are safe from single Molotov cocktails, GTA Online players may take the opportunity to check out the mysterious set of giant bones that have popped up in the middle of the ocean. While some players believe that these massive bones floating underwater are due to a glitch, others believe that Grand Theft Auto Online may be teasing something new.

The last time random objects were appearing was before the Cayo Perico Heist update, where men in underwear with briefcases would randomly appear on the beaches of Los Santos, later being revealed to have a connection with the heist.

While GTA Online players are discovering mysteries in the ocean, some GTA fans are looking to the future for any sliver of news about Grand Theft Auto 6. The latest theory is that an announcement for the game will appear at the Super Bowl. One fan points to the performer of the halftime show, The Weeknd, as proof there will be news. In one of The Weeknd's music video, a sign can be seen that says "GTA 6 Trailer," leading to the belief that the title will be announced at one of the biggest events in America.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
