Grand Theft Auto Online expands the ridiculousness and freedom quite a bit, helping it reach new heights as players can do anything from ride rocket bikes to change into animals – sometimes with glitchy side effects.
The animal transformation feature was actually a more recent addition to Grand Theft Auto Online, where players could consume peyote, a hallucinogenic drug, to change into a random animal. The feature was brought out of retirement recently, now running until April 13, but this time with a twist. Until the event is over, players can change into the legendary Bigfoot. Doing so is a little tricky, however.
Find the Golden Peyote Plant
The first step to becoming Bigfoot, one of the coolest things players can do in GTA Online, is to find the golden peyote plant. There is only one golden peyote plant on the entire map, and its coordinates are way up north in Grapeseed, specifically, in the area behind Trevor's Airstrip. The exact coordinates are -1472.531, 4439.456, 18.862. If it's not there and everyone is playing in a public server, odds are someone else has snagged it. Don't worry, it respawns every 24 in-game hours, so just settle in and wait.
Wait For the Right Time
The next step is to ensure the conditions are right to turn into Bigfoot. Specifically, players must wait until a specific time window and make sure the weather is foggy. Opinions differ as to the exact time window, mostly as to its start, although everyone agrees the golden opportunity closes at 8:00 PM. Estimates for the start of the opportune time range from 3:00 PM at the earliest to 5:30 PM at the latest, so it might be best to eat the plant between 5:30-8:00. It's more difficult than turning into an animal in GTA Online regularly, but also very worth it.
Become Bigfoot
Once all the conditions have been met, the player will find themselves transformed into Bigfoot. Bigfoot is, true to its name, big, and also rather speedy and strong, letting it cause some serious property damage even without the use of weapons. While it can't drive, it also isn't noticed by the police, possibly because he's a myth. It has extra health as well, to properly deal with other players who come after him. Don't feel too bad about wrecking their vehicles as they try to run you over, as Rockstar recently released free in-game currency to all players.
