Rockstar Games has been supporting Grand Theft Auto Online with new content for years now, and it's not stopping anytime soon. The latest major addition to the game was the Cayo Perico Heist expansion that came with a wealth of new content upon its release and afterward.

Even with the game's regular content, players are still finding new ways to enjoy Grand Theft Auto Online. Recently, Rockstar shared new information about the summer update it will be releasing for the game. There will be plenty of new things for players to enjoy throughout July, most notably the new Survival maps that are now available.

Players will be able to face off against enemies invading the Los Santos area comprised of the Ballas, Vagos, and other groups in seven new Survival maps. While the post doesn't provide many details about the new maps, all Survivals in Grand Theft Auto Online will reward players with "2X GTA$ and RP." Any players competing in any of the new maps can earn a sizable sum of GTA$100K "within 72 hours of playing."

However, the new content doesn't stop there. Players who participate in Grand Theft Auto Online's Freemode will be able to earn triple the normal rewards in Freemode Events and Challenges between now and July 19. The game will also be receiving a summer update that includes the highly-anticipated Los Santos Car Meet. Players are advised to keep an eye on the Rockstar Newswire for more details about it coming soon.

Grand Theft Auto Online will also receive a new bonus reward from the character Simeon Yetarian for the Simeon Exports. Players who complete one of the Simeon Export Requests by returning a "coveted vehicle" to Simeon's garage will receive the Sunset Tint Oversize Shades. According to the post, the shades will be available in 72 hours of logging in after July 15.

The new podium item for the Lucky Wheel in the Diamond Casino & Resort will be the Vapid Retinue Mk II. There will also be a 40% discount for Garages of all sizes and the post provides a full list of discounted vehicles for land, air, and sea. Half of the vehicles have 30% discounts while the rest have 40% discounts. However, beginning in this event, Rockstar will be removing individual Jobs to make room for more updates. According to the post, Jobs will be cycled in and out over time as Rockstar continues to add more to Grand Theft Auto Online in the future.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
