Rockstar Games announces the Inch By Inch Adversary Mode for Grand Theft Auto Online, in addition to "stylish squad transport," the Vapid Minivan Custom.

Grand Theft Auto Online, GTA 5’s multiplayer mode, continues to be massively popular amongst players, with (Rockstar Games’ parent company) Take-Two recently revealing that players are still “highly engaged." Much of that popularity is down to Rockstar’s regular updates to the mode, including new gameplay modes (Adversary Modes) and bonus reward events which give players a chance to bag more GTA$ and RP.

Rockstar Games’ latest addition to GTA Online is the Inch By Inch adversary mode which will be available from April 12. Not unlike GTA Online’s American Football-themed game mode, Running Back, Inch By Inch is also about making gains across a playing field in order to get to the ‘endzone’. Rockstar explains that Inch By Inch players must compete for possession of a ‘Package’ before “clawing” their way through a “hail of bullets” in order to reach the endzone.

“After each score,” explains the developer, “the action immediately resets - ensuring a frenetic and desperate battle of wits and skill.” Rockstar also goes on to describe what sounds like a real need for teamwork as the player carrying the Package is unable to use their weapons. They will get “a burst of speed” to help them “make some ground” but “only a constant barrage of support from their back-up will ensure their hard earned point.”

Also set to be added to the game on April 12 is new vehicle the Vapid Minivan which will be “exclusively available” at Benny’s Original Motor Works. While the Vapid Minivan isn’t quite as flash as the Dundreary Virgo Classic and the Willard Faction Custom Donk which were introduced in the GTA Online Lowriders Classic Customs update, it is a “stylish squad transport,” according to Rockstar.

Moreover, Rockstar has launched the Adversary Modes Week which includes the Double GTA$ & RP Adversary Mode Playlist (April 8 – 14) and is a rotating offering of Adversary Modes which will change throughout the week and offers double GTA$ and RP as a reward. The week also features discounts at Ammu-Nation with sniper rifles at 25% off, sniper rifle attachments at 50% off, shotguns at 40% off, shotgun attachments at 30% off and body armor at 50% off until April 14.

Although many GTA Online players have welcomed the new content and opportunity to rake in more rewards, not everyone is happy. Some have asked that Rockstar Games add more Heists, while others are asking when GTA 5 will get some story DLC instead. Take-Two will be at E3 2016 in a ‘'big way,” though, so perhaps there will be more news about new GTA content at the event.
