With the game's community currently being so large, it makes sense that Grand Theft Auto 5 Online players are still finding fun and creative ways to cause chaotic carnage across the open-world. A great example would be the game's most recent conflict, where Grand Theft Auto 5 was besieged by a large-scale alien war, seeing players dress in neon green and purple morph suits and battling each other at Los Santos airport.

Another example of the bizarre imagination of the game's players come from a recent Reddit post from user RiceWafflezzz. Here, they highlight a neat concept for a vehicular combo which gives players a near-invulnerable flying tank, with both a player and a friend getting to fly around Los Santos and rain fire down on its inhabitants.

According to the Reddit post, players who want to pull off the trick need to go through a few basic steps. First, anyone who wants to give this a try needs to do so with a partner in tow. Second, they'll need either the khanjali or rhino tank, with the former being available from the mechanic and the latter being purchasable from Pegasus. Finally, the players will need to lock down a cargobob, which will be integral to the plan. According to RiceWafflezzz, one of the players will need to assume the role of the pilot while the other steps into the role of the gunner.

The one who's flying the cargobob should get into the plane and enable passive mode, meaning they can't be shot down by other players. They then should hover over the tank, the likes of which is currently being operated by player 2, before attaching themselves to the vehicle, lifting it up, and flying it around Los Santos. With the player in the cockpit of the plane currently on passive mode, it'll be even harder for other players to knock the tank out the sky, as the only way to finish off the DIY contraption is to blow up the tank itself.

The Reddit post is filled with players acknowledging how smart RiceWafflezzz idea is, however, a few do have their doubts about its efficiency. Some claim that it's pretty difficult to aim the guns of the tank while hurtling through the air, while others have made the point that it could be unfair on other players. Regardless, it seems like a good bit of fun for those looking for a new contraption to play around with in Grand Theft Auto 5 Online's open world.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
