Rockstar Games releases a brand-new trailer showcasing the upcoming Cayo Perico Heist for Grand Theft Auto Online. The new tropical island adventure will be available for players to dive into starting on December 15.
The GTA Online heist will be taking place on Cayo Perico, a private paradise for wealthy elite to get together and party endlessly. Home of the world’s top narcotrafficker, El Rubio, there are plenty of secrets lying below the colorful surface. Rockstar’s trailer teases a hoard of art, gold, and drug money ripe for the taking.
The Cayo Perico Heist promises the biggest GTA Online adventure ever, a notable feat for the upcoming expansion. A big update would not be complete without a new location, and players will instantly recognize the unique map. Even more tempting is how Rockstar is changing Heist design, allowing it to be tackled solo or up to three other players. These core updates could be some of the best yet, making the Cayo Perico Heist worth playing for fans.
In addition, there is going to be a host of new goodies to enjoy for GTA Online in the update. Cayo Perico houses a variety of new vehicles and weapons to play around with during the plunder. Along with a nightclub opening soon, the new radio stations feature over 100 songs giving plenty of reason to dance in the island’s social spaces. The industry has long since moved on from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the platforms for which it originally launched.
