Grand Theft Auto 4 was one of the most well-received games released during the past few years. The subsequent episodic content, The Lost and The Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, served very well to expand the world of Liberty City and introduce its other inhabitants that make a living doing not so nice things. If you are one of the populace who have not yet experienced GTA IV and Episodes From Liberty City, here's your chance to own the entire series for the low price of $39.99. Possibly.

We say "possibly," as Amazon is currently listing the "Complete Edition" of GTAIV on both the Xbox 360 and PS3. According to the online retailer, this new edition of the game is set to release on October 26, 2010. However, there has been no word yet from Rockstar Games confirming or denying these listings.

Hopefully, this is the real deal and not just a tease. Compilation editions that include released DLC are always a great deal for consumers and often bring new sales life to an older title. Similar to the Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition and the soon-to-be-released Borderlands GOTY Edition, the GTA IV Complete Edition offers great value as the gamers will save approximately $60 off the original price.

Would you cheat yourself out of owning one of the best games of all time for only $40? I'm tempted to pick it up again just to have a copy to loan out to people, so I can share the debauchery, violence, campy humor, and well-written dialogue.

We're keeping an eye on this story and we'll update once we receive a confirmation or denial.

Grand Theft Auto: The Complete Edition may release on October 26, 2010, for Xbox 360 and PS3.
