The new Tuners update is now available in GTA Online, and that means new missions, new cars, and a new property for players to buy. The auto shop property is now available for purchase and it will get players access to new mini-heists and new ways to make money.

Before players can start making money with their new property, though, they will need to find LS Car Meet out in Cypress Flats. Once they meet the new cast of characters and the NPCs who will accompany them on their auto shop journey, they will be able to purchase their new property. Don't worry, the LS Car Meet is easy to find.

Buying An Auto Shop

Once players are done with everything in the LS Car Meet, they can freely purchase any of the auto shop properties by visiting the Maze Banks Foreclosures website. There are a total of five new properties for players to check out with the cheapest costing a total of $1,670,000 if players forego all the additional expenses. Here is the full list of properties:

  • Mission Row: $1,670,000
  • Strawberry: $1,705,000
  • Rancho: $1,750,000
  • Burton: $1,830,000
  • La Mesa: $1,920,000

These are all the base costs of each of the auto shops. The price will go up depending on how much a player customizes their auto shop. They can change the style, as well as add additional vehicle bays and a private room. There is also the option to add the LS Car Meet membership, which will cost an additional $50,000.

Starting Mission

GTA Online tuners update Sessanta and KDJ in vehicle

Once players have decided on an auto shop property, they can travel over to it. Here, they will be greeted with a cutscene like usual. This cutscene will introduce them to the property and tell them some information. After that, KDJ and Sessanta will offer players a job to retrieve a car from the impound lot.

Head on over to the whiteboard and start the mission from there. Simply go retrieve the car, avoid the cops on the way back, and deliver it to the auto shop. Now that the opening mission is complete, players can enjoy the perks of owning their own garage.

Bonuses Of The Auto Shop

Every auto shop comes with a few free perks that players don't need to spend any money on. For starters, players get a free set of arcade games to enjoy in their downtime. It's nothing special, but at least it's something. They also get access to a snack bowl that they can take snacks from for free for whenever they are going to get into a gunfight. Rockstar was also nice enough to add a 'take all' button so players don't need to mash a button over and over to obtain their snacks.

Last, and most importantly, players get a free ten-car garage with any auto shop purchase. Since this is an auto shop, players can customize their vehicles that are stored inside without needing to drive to an LS Customs.

The auto shop has an actual business built into it that involves customizing cars (shocking, right?). During the purchase of the property, players can choose to get a second car lift installed to help with the legal business front. Sessanta will notify players whenever there is a vehicle available to customize. Players can then run over to their auto shop and customize the vehicle however the customer wants them to.

Instructions at the bottom of the screen will tell the player exactly what options the customer wants. It costs $35,000 to customize a vehicle. Once a vehicle is customized, the player will have the option to deliver it to the customer themselves or have a mechanic do it. Delivering the car to a customer will get the player $60,000. If a mechanic delivers the car, it will take a little longer and will often get players less money.

Exotic Exports List

In the not-so-legal side of the business, players can choose to deliver vehicles off of the Exotic Exports list. This works similarly to how players deliver cars to Simeon. The list refreshes daily and many of the cars spawn in free roam.

Some of the cars didn't spawn in free roam until this update, and won't usually be seen being driven. These cars will be parked and players can spot them by the small blue dot on their minimap. When they find a car that needs to be exported, they will be tasked with driving it to the docks. The reward for doing this is $20,000.

Mini-Heists

The final way to make money with the auto shop is doing mini-heists. These are all posted on the whiteboard in the upstairs portion of the auto shop and can get a player between $160,000 and $180,000 depending on the mission. There are a total of six new missions for players to take on solo or with a group.

Just like normal heists, the mini-heists have set up missions to complete that each reward the player $10,000. There are two set up missions for each of the mini-heists. Players can use any vehicle to complete these, and can even complete them in a solo lobby to avoid unnecessary deaths. The finale needs to be completed with one of the new tuner cars from the update, but if a player doesn't own one, they will be able to use a base version car until they buy their own.
