Rockstar Games has yet to announce Grand Theft Auto 6 in an official capacity, but the game is inevitable. Grand Theft Auto 5 has made way too much money for Rockstar Games to never move forward with Grand Theft Auto 6, and in the absence of official information, there's been a steady stream of leaks about the game and what it may entail. Fans have also been scouring older Rockstar Games titles for clues about GTA 6, with a newly discovered tease being one of the most mind-blowing yet.

YouTuber Strange Man has found a huge Grand Theft Auto 6 tease hidden in Red Dead Redemption 2. The skeleton of a Jesuit missionary can be found in Red Dead Redemption 2's open world, southwest of Gaptooth Breach, east of the Sea of Coronado. Upon examining the skeleton, players can find a letter written from Cardinal Blanco to Brother Rodolfo. And if Strange Man's analysis is correct, the letter is a hidden message about Grand Theft Auto 6.

Watch the video for a more detailed explanation, but basically, Strange Man posits that the letter's author, Cardinal Blanco, is meant to be representative of former Rockstar Games writer Dan Houser, whereas the Brother Rodolfo is meant to be Sam Houser. In the letter, Cardinal Blanco is trying to talk Brother Rodolfo from traveling "east" and asks him to stay in California. This is a reference to Grand Theft Auto 5's Los Santos setting, which is based on California, whereas "east" represents the setting for GTA 6, rumored to be Miami-equivalent Vice City.

According to Strange Man, other language in the letter can be interpreted as references to the behind-the-scenes situation going on in regards to GTA 5 and GTA 6. As explained by Strange Man, the text makes reference to Sam Houser wanting to move on from Grand Theft Auto 5 and work on new projects, even though that goes against the wishes of Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two. With Grand Theft Auto Online still making money hand over fist, Take-Two is more interested in providing new content for that game, hence the Grand Theft Auto 5 next-gen release that's on the way this year.

Strange Man also points to the Cardinal Blanco name, which could be a reference to Griselda Blanco, a Colombian drug lord. If so, this could be a nod to the rumors of Grand Theft Auto 6 having both male and female protagonists. It could also hint at the GTA 6 protagonists being Colombian, which is something else that has been rumored for the game for quite some time.

Rockstar Games has been known to hide clues for its next games, with nods to Red Dead Redemption 2 found in Grand Theft Auto 5 and a reference to Grand Theft Auto 5 found in the original Red Dead Redemption, so on and so forth. It stands to reason that there are legitimate GTA 6 clues hidden in Red Dead Redemption 2, and the evidence provided by Strange Man is compelling enough to suggest that this is indeed one of them.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to be in development.
