Tom Henderson has made a name for himself as being a reliable leaker when it comes to Battlefield and Call of Duty games, but recently he leaked information on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 as well. According to Henderson, Grand Theft Auto 6 will be set in Vice City, the release date won't be until sometime in 2024 or 2025, and it will have an "evolving map." While these kinds of claims should always be taken with a grain of salt, they have since been backed up by more legitimate sources.

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier recently chimed in on the recent Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks, backing up Tom Henderson's claims about Grand Theft Auto 6's release date. Schreier initially said that "everything" Henderson has said matches with what he's heard about the game, but later clarified that he hasn't seen everything the leaker has claimed. Schreier then specified that it's true that Grand Theft Auto 6 is early in development and that it will have an "evolving/expanding" map.

And now VGC has backed up the claims about Grand Theft Auto 6 as well, saying that its sources have confirmed the details about Grand Theft Auto 6 being set in Vice City and having an evolving map. Considering this, this information may be one of the first legitimate leaks when it comes to Grand Theft Auto 6 to date.

Since his initial Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks, Henderson has done a GTA 6 drawing that he has described as a "concept of a concept." In this drawing, Henderson hints at Grand Theft Auto 6 having a female protagonist, in addition to jetpacks. Jetpacks were available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and teased in Grand Theft Auto 5, but were never added to the story mode. Henderson's drawing also reiterates the leaks that Grand Theft Auto 6 will use Vice City for its setting.

As for when fans may find out more about Grand Theft Auto 6 in an official capacity, that remains to be seen. The latest leaks point to Grand Theft Auto 6's release date being 2024 or 2025, meaning fans have a minimum of three years to wait before they'll get the chance to play the game. It seems that the absolute best case scenario is getting a Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal in 2024, so GTA fans will need to make due with the next-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online in the meantime. Both will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X beginning November 11, 2021.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to be in development.
